Turning off auto save and stop the over writing?

Sorry if these are super dumb questions but I never really mess with this before

    Two question

1- How do you turn off auto save?

2- If I turn it off will that stop my other files being over written? I run two franchises and use 30 team control on both. And each time I switch between one it saves and over writes the other file and I am forced to start the second franchise over again.

In the options menu there is an option to turn off auto save. That will fix it for you.

It’s in the settings under General - Misc.

Make sure under the file association setting you have a second settings profile for all the teams that aren’t yours, and that their “post game auto save” setting is off also.

I always turn auto save off first thing when I get the game now. One year auto save corrupted my franchise save. So I’ll never trust it again.

Can you expand on this? Do you mean if youre using roster control “on”?

              I believe so.

I’m using 30 team control. I have all teams using the CPU profile I set up for them, which includes all mode-specific options as “auto” except for waivers and trades. My Angels team is all “manual”. However, I always turn off “post game auto save” for my profile (the team I’m playing as). This year, though, it would still auto save after every game, but that’s because the CPU profile had “post game auto save” set to “on”, so it would overwrite my franchise save by itself.

I don’t think it’s the same issue that OP was having, though.

For years!! Always first thing I do. I hate auto save on sports games.

My auto save doesn't overwrite anything. It always creates a new save file.
