Curious of opinions from those who use Pure Analog for hitting. I currently use Pure Analog "Flick" and have so for years. Most years, I'd play on HOF+, and found that to be a good sweet spot for me. This year, for whatever reason, I'm finding HOF+ too easy, and bumped it to Legend. I seem to be running into an issue on Legend that has been frustrating me. If I face an average to below average pitcher I get decent realistic results. If I face a good pitcher, it seems I can't catch a break. For example, facing Sale last night, I hit at least 10 balls and had middle green timing/location on the stick. However, they were all either pop-ups or ground balls with weak contact. I definitely get having tougher outings against better pitchers, it just seems like the game is determining the outcome based on ratings vs actually timing/location of the stick.
I realize with Pure Analog Hitting, it's more randomized and takes into account ratings and so forth. What's strange is though, I went into practice mode against Sale and was getting good hits. So I'm wondering, does Franchise mode also take other things into consideration to affect the outcome? Just curious what experiences you guys were having and if you could shed any light on what goes in the final result when hitting with Pure Analog. Sometimes, I feel like I don't have control of the result, which is to be expected to a point with Pure Analog (but still can be frustrating, nonetheless).
Thanks!
