Can you not challenge imo calls anymore

Is that a new setting I overlooked?

I’ve yet to see the option come up to challenge a close call at 1B etc.

Oh wow, I didn't realize this. I've played likely 30 games so far and haven't seen a challenge option for myself, or anything challenged from the CPU.. been a ton of super close calls too that I wondered about. Is there a setting I'm missing that I need to turn on, or are they just in the game in an incredibly low rate?

Do I go to the main menu to initiate a challenge or does something pop up on screen during the game?

Agree....have seen a ton of close calls at 1B, where in the past a challenge option automatically popped up.....haven't seen it once in 23.

Playing on ps5 btw.

They are still there, but definitely toned down the amount this year. Fine with me though. Until we can challenge more than just first base calls they're fairly pointless anyway IMO.

Since replay was in real-life MLB for several years now, you would think it would be fully implemented in the Show by now and not just plays at first base. It was a thing that was brought into the game but never improved upon. Or it would just take a lot of time and resources to put into the game and they have other priorities.

Since replay was in real-life MLB for several years now, you would think it would be fully implemented in the Show by now and not just plays at first base. It was a thing that was brought into the game but never improved upon. Or it would just take a lot of time and resources to put into the game and they have other priorities.

"Other priorities" cough cough DD should never take precedent over actual game rules.

I just finished the month of April in my franchise and haven't seen a single challenge yet either. Playing on PS5.

I finally got to challenge a call! Playing every pitch in my franchise, it took until June. That's not exactly realistic.

I'm wondering if this is something that they fixed with a patch without telling us. At the time this original post was made, I wasn't ever getting the chance to challenge calls. Now, it happens at least every other game, both hitting and pitching.

Something else to keep in mind. There will never be a “challengeable” play if it’s the 3rd out of the inning. The umpire will always get those calls exactly right. The only time you get the opportunity to challenge is if it’s the first or second out of an inning.

I had a bang-bang play at first a couple of nights ago. I certainly thought I would be able to challenge, but did not get to...it most likely cost me a perfect game. I manually checked the replay and the batter's foot touch the bag before the ball was in the first baseman's glove. i haven't seen a challenge in a couple of weeks.
