Basically after this patch it seems like if you're playing vs the CPU then classic is the only option for best simulated results. Meter could still be viable though. But if competing online, then pinpoint is your only option. Highly recommend classic for anyone not using vs cpu. You actually have far more control of your pitches than most assume. It's very much a rhythm and feel thing when pitching. And once you get it, you will probably never go back.

In each series, users allowed fewer walks.

At least, I thought there were a little more walks in this 23, but why is pitching easier?

I don't know their direction. Are they only concerned with online PvP?

Pitching and fielding still have to be more difficult in a match against the cpu.

Please let my hope reach...

Sometimes they don't even mention equipment being added and it just shows up after the update. Keeping my hopes up.

Quite a lot of Diamondbacks players have gotten new face scans. Only team I’ve seen with new face scans in the update

So still no fixing the frame rate issues on last gen consoles?

This is pretty frustrating to be honest.


Did they fix the issue in Franchise of not allowing you to control multiple teams in the Draft and Rule 5 Draft?

I wouldn’t expect Bruce bolt to be added at all this year. Only a handful of players wear their gloves, sleeves etc. also, I’m sure the licensing on their end is tough since their a small company.

It seems like they’re trying to appease the online crowd. They’re making the offline experience worse by doing so.

If they didn't mention that pitching "changed" in this patch, I would have no reason to believe it did. Whatever changes they made are subtle as I finished a game and didn't notice any difference in pitching in this game versus the one I had just played prior to the patch downloading.

This is default Legend using meter pitching. Pitches still missed their mark (perfect accuracy - the ball still didn't stay true to aimed location and missed in the PAR zone), the CPU got good contact at times, I struck out 8 and walked 3. I don't see a difference.

How does classic pitching work exactly?

For best results IMO:

Clean screen. No K zone, no hot/cold zones, pitch selection, no ball fade, etc., etc. nothing.

Pause the game and learn the corresponding buttons for your pitchers pitches

Push button to select your pitch

Aim and press X to pitch

Use vibration on if you really want to waste a pitch

Using this method you have to get a feel how the individual pitches are working. There is no pinpointing of a pitch, just feel. As your pitch count increases and stamina reduces you will see the pitch location become a bit more difficult.

It may sound simple, but it works really well.
