    Catcher signs

For the guys not using any visual aids for pitch aiming, how do you read catcher signs?

    For PS5, I know:

    1 finger - X
    2 fingers - Circle
    3 fingers - Triangle
    4 fingers - Square
    4 wiggles - R1

But what does only putting the fingers down, and/or point to either thigh, the single leg tap, the double leg tap, just doing a double pump straight down?

Is a single leg tap to that side - high, and a double leg tap is low? And just a point of the finger(s) is middle to that side?

Since we don't get a 2nd set of fingers for location like in real life, how does everyone take and read them?

I'm on xbox series x.. I do the same as you have listed. If it's fingers down, then I will throw what ever the last pitch was , or my pitch of choice. For the leg or thigh taps then I will throw that pitch where the tap is and I will choose high or low on that side , unless it was a clear where the catcher wanted it.

    If that makes sense

I personally don't use the catcher signs. I can't explain it, but I always have a much easier time pitching than I should (based on ratings) when I follow their signs to a T than when I call my own game.
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

        "Their signs" meaning?
