    Directional hitting question?

I’m wondering, when hitting using directional does influence have any negative effects?

For instance, if the pitch is on the outer half of the zone and I’m trying to influence up and in will that negatively impact my timing?

Kind of like using guess pitch and guessing wrong negatively impacts contact?

I do not think so. Since you are not placing the PCI yourself it is based on attributes. I could be wrong as I have not done the research on this. Just my anecdotal experience.

I use timing and when I get a pitch outside I try to take it to the opposite field by being just late on the pitch. If it’s inside I try and be a little early to pull it.
      I’m not sure about directional.

Directional is the same exact thing as timing if you don't use any influence with the left stick
