No wind in offline franchise mode

Has anyone noticed that there isn't any wind while playing offline franchise?? I've played a bunch of games now and haven't seen flags moving at any stadium or the wind mph and direction indicator anywhere on the screen. I read somewhere that wind is only available on the simulation setting and not hardcore which I've been using but that seemed ridiculous to me. So I tried switching to simulation and still nothing.

I'm getting wind in every single game of franchise so I don't know what's going on with yours. And just a tip, it's cool if you want to voice frustrations, but calling SDS a garbage company while doing so isn't the best way to go about it.

Yeah I'm getting wind every game in offline franchise. PS5 Simulation mode.

Some ballparks like T Mobile in Seattle doesn't produce wind cause of the way it's structured.

If you really want to see if wind works or not try Wrigley. Start up 3 games and 2 of 3 will probably have signi wind. I've seen up to 12mph using default wind slider. More than I remember using default wind in years past.

To view the wind you need to pause the game. It’s not listed in the hitting feedback like previous years.

Sorry I meant competitive not hardcore, I'm getting my sports games mixed up but OMG I figured it out.. So when I first started my franchise mode I chose the competitive preset. Then I was trying to change the gameplay style from competitive to simulation within the competitive preset which did nothing. It wasn't until I set the preset to simulation and within that preset I was able to change the gameplay style to competitive (which I prefer) and then the wind showed up.

You’re right! Genius. I haven’t had wind in games for most of my franchise. I’m 30 team control I set my team under the Competitive user setting (even tho I had gameplay on Simulation) and all the other teams under Simulation. I switched these up and now I have wind.

Then I was trying to change the gameplay style from competitive to simulation within the competitive preset which did nothing. It wasn't until I set the preset to simulation and within that preset I was able to change the gameplay style to competitive (which I prefer) and then the wind showed up.

Nice job sleuthing it out. I came to the same conclusion about a week ago and sent a report on it to SDS, so hopefully they've gotten the message and can have a fix in an upcoming patch. What tipped me off was that I knew the competitive settings are used in head-to-head online play - where the wind is disabled by design. It's not supposed to be that way in offline competitive, but it pretty obviously was. The bug also affects any profile you create from the Competitive template too.

Here's everything I know about it (as well as a slightly different issue of the wind indicator sometimes not appearing) - this is a copy of the report I sent last week:

Glad to have someone able to see the same things I did. Feel free to send another report on it if you haven't already - generally it's more likely that things get higher priority to be patched if there are multiple reports.

That’s not working right now, at least on PS4. I’ve reported the bug on the show’s website. It was there a couple of days ago and then nothing.
