    CPU not stealing bases?

I am a firm believer of leaving the sliders on default. I have seen some sliders having mega impact when moved only one click (timing for instance. CPU at 6 timing is making them hit wayyy better than at 5).

Now to my question: CPU isn't stealing bases enough. Even the speediest guys don't do it frequently - even when i put the slider for stealing frequency to 9.

So the next best chance is to change the attributes. Should i turn up stealing or baserunning aggressivness? I tend to baserunner aggressiveness. Stealing attribute is an attribute for stealing succesfully, right?

CPU tries to steal bases on me quite frequently when the situation calls for it

Guys that are good at stealing bases run on me frequently, although a lot of times the batter swings and it’s never with two strikes. One thing I think the game does a poor job or replicating is pitchers getting run on that are slow to the plate or not paying attention to the runner. Even Pete Alonso will steal a base or two a year but I’d never dare trying that in the game

I wouldn't change anything. At default sliders I get steal attempts against me.

Maybe your catcher is a beast. If your catcher will likely throw out the CPU runner, then the CPU probably won't test it.

I believe it has something to do with quick counts. If i turn them off it seems to be way better.

I have lower strikeout rates without quick counts as well. (around 10 per team - with quick counts 13-15)

Something is thrown off if you don't play the game on default settings.

Quick counts may be the cause. When they steal on me it’s usually within the first pitch or two

Ive been playing this game forever, since 08, and cannot ever remember having to fiddle with sliders this late into the season.

Changing sliders does change the game in a significant way. If you lower cpu power only one click and let everything else at default it makes a huge difference. And this holds true for almost every slider.

I cam the conclusion that i leave the sliders alone. Some problems come from the roster.

Yesterday I saw a player in game having a speed rating of 86 but a steal rating of 1 (!) and an baserunning aggresiveness of around 20. No wonder he doesn't steal bases in the game. If you up these attributes for speedy guys they steal properly even with default sliders.

In manage mode the CPU tries to steal bases.
