MoM PS4 is broken

I've tried 3 different teams and 20 games each with different sliders. I have not yet played a set of 20 games where the Managers team, after 20 games has less then 8 guys with OPS .500 or lower and the manages team is averaging about 3 runs a game.

Every game has at least 13Ks on the Managers team. YET - when I play CPU v. CPU games with the same teams the games are high scoring and NOTHING like MoM games at all.

I might give up on 2023 The Show. PS5 sounds like it's fine. Disappointed.

I quit MoM. How can a team ranked 2nd in contact and 2nd in Power after 50 games AND with sliders set at Contact 8 and Power 8 have a 218 Avg and a .380 slugging.

The only sliders that work in MoM are pitcher stamina and injuries. No other slider impacts that mode. I was about 80 games in with the Angels and they were hitting fine. Don't remember the exact stats but they were definitely top half of the league in most hitting categories. The mode plays fine for me on PS4

REALLY!! So odd. As I said I rank 2nd and 2nd and the last 12 games have not scores more then 2 runs and can't get OBP above .300 and SLG above .400 after 50 games.

So the sliders do nothing except those two? I started over twice with different teams same thing. I feel like I'm playing with soccer scores LOL 3 games I was no hit for 7 innings!

I just don't know what to do.

Have you attempted this with a full season? Asking because I’ve noticed that stats usually tend to balance out over the full 162.

This is a false statement. Stamina and injuries are only sliders used in "sim" games. I've been doing Manage mode for 5 years now and I can assure you sliders DO work

I play MOM on a ps5. They have reverted in some aspects to an earlier code.

For example at one time if you called for a sacrifice bunt the batter would try to bunt every pitch regardless of whether it was a strike. They finally fixed that to the batter would only try to bunt pitches in the strike zone. Now they are back to the earlier version in which the batter tries to bunt every pitch.

You can no longer order the pitcher to "pitch to batter". It's L2 + X and on the screen it will say "pitch to batter" but it's actually a pitchout.

They got rid of the slide step which was an addition in mlbts22. I'm glad to see that because I didn't think it was correctly implemented.

There are a few other things but suffice to say they reverted in some areas of the game to earlier code.

I really wish they would put some effort in to this mode. It could be so cool, and I don't think it needs a major overhaul, just need to dial it in. It's just not a priority with them.

I havent updated since 4/21. Sounds like Im glad I havent. I dont sac bunt much, but I'll have to watch for that. I never do "pitch to batter" or "pitch around". I dont think they are implemented correctly, and never found a use for them.

When you are calling for a sac bunt, are you hitting L2+O or going into menu and selecting sac bunt?
L2+O is bunt for hit.

The problem with MoM, CvC, and well the game overall is programming. The game is programmed around strikeouts and homeruns. Watch the ticker at the bottom. You always see an overage of pitchers that went 7,8,9 innings of 1,2 hit, 8,9,10 strikeouts. Same with batters. You see games around the league with multiple batters every day getting 2 homers in a game.
Now go look at tickers in real life games. Yesterday (5/14) Judge had a 2 homer game. Now im sure it happens. A player getting 2 homeruns in one game. Not to the extent it happens in MLBTS though. There is no way to fix it. You cant adjust sliders for sim. So while you can make "YOUR" games play somewhat realistic, you cant for sim. It is based off older baseball and DD. Majority of gamers want big K's and LOUD homeruns.

No I have not and have been wondering about that. After scoring 2 or less runs for 12 straight games I got pissed an simmer the last 6 innings. Scored 7 runs. LOL.

I’ve played strat o matic in leagues for 50 years so know about how stats work over time but after 70 total games it’s just depressing. Tellez has 2 HRs in 140 ABs. I just can’t see how I have sliders almost maxed out and still slug under .380. The worst offense in both leagues but ranked 2nd

I go to the menu. I called for pitch to batter when it was available because the AI is programmed to make the user controlled pitcher pitch around the 8 hitter in non-DH games. It also pitches around hitters on an 0-2 count. That drives up pitch count. Not sure what pitch aggressive does. Maybe it's the same thing.
