Re: MLB The Show 23 Patch #5 Arrives Tomorrow - Patch Notes
It is funny…you probably had some 9 year old kid playing baseball and thought man it be cool if we had some prop monsters in the game. And boom, it is in. A season vet of the game wants something real that is in the real life game…crickets. LolFollow me on Twitch

Re: MLB The Show 23 Patch #5 Available Today - Patch Notes
I get they’re trying to walk the line with regards to realism and appeasing the many 9 year olds playing the game; however, realism *should* take precedence. Otherwise, the game might as well be arcade.
As alluded, seemingly SIMPLE things — yellow padding on the walls, netting, signage, grass patterns, adding props you will actually see at a stadium. I would gladly sacrifice floating space ships and dinosaurs for a friggin wall with yellow padding and distance markers.
There are times where I wish I was a fly on the wall during some of these studio meetings and get an inside glimpse as to the thought processes behind some of these unrealistic and frankly odd decisions.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 23 Patch #5 Arrives Tomorrow - Patch Notes
If MLB The Show 23 wanted to add things to stadium creator it would have been nice if they were simple realistic things - like the yellow borders on the outfield walls, outfield wall signage and dimensions numbers. Instead we got a plethora of animated fantasy monsters, military vehicles and exploded buildings. Is there a big audience for this kind of garbage?
Go look at the stadiums with the most downloads to answer your question. If you play DD you’ve already shown you’re willing to suspend reality with Babe Ruth next to Bryce Harper in your outfield. It’s not a leap that this same crowd also enjoys fantasy stadiums.
Not my cup of tea but to each their own. I’ve found some useful new props that help me in building realistic minor league parks.

It is frustrating that wasn't fixed yet. Last year, one patch accidentally turned it on and in the next patch it was fixed. So it sounded to be a somewhat easy fix. But maybe this was designed to be on for some odd reason.Follow me on Twitch

Help me out here. AUTO base running works so well. I’ve NEVER seen a runner NOT run, or retreat to a base. Can you give specific info. Runners on first are even tagging up this year on fly balls that they may not have normally tagged up, on. Maybe can give you some suggestions.Comment

Probably not. Too busy adding monsters and aliens in created stadiums. LOL

Ya. Worried it’s a feature not a bug. :-(

I have put baserunning, fielding and throwing on auto (for the 1st time ever in this series)
I had to in order to get rid of that nasty blue circle.
I sort of like it and here's why.....
I can focus on pitching and hitting, ratings "might" play even more of a role, and last but not least, my baserunning and throwing is now on par with the AI, which means the "programming" will allow more bonehead throws and base running blunders that we see on the CPU side now reflected on the user side.

Even the card series/art seems to point in that same direction as well. At least imho.
