    Target Field daytime batter's eye

Has anyone else noticed how hard it is to track the ball at Target Field in daylight when using a camera behind the plate for hitting? If that's how it is in real life....wow.

    YES.

Cleveland is difficult as well. First few innings of a night game can be brutal

Can you tell me what I'm supposed to be looking at?

Clearly this may be a different camera than what you use.

Most definitely. Helps if you change sky to overcast.

I've noticed the glare more when the sun starts to set than during the day, but it definitely makes it hard to hit for a couple innings

I don't have any issues during the day. But night games are awful the first few innings where the sun lights up the batters eye and the rest of the field is shaded. I feel like I need Benny Hill music in the background when I'm trying to hit.

I just found that video on YouTube. I don't have the game.

OP should've specified late afternoon/early innings of an evening game, but I know what he means. I took a screenshot last month when I was setting up my DD team and just screwing around in Conquest.

Wow that is terrible. I have never played in that park but I can see that it would hard to pick up the ball.

The Angels park is the same.

Yeah, he said "in daylight" so I assumed he meant a day game.

I remember Seattle had this problem a few years back. Perhaps it still does.

The absolute worst that I remember was Interplay Sports Baseball 2000 at Pro Player Stadium. I don't have an image or video of it, but basically the hitting camera was in line with the pitcher's release point and the grayish-white facade out in center field before the upper deck. You couldn't see squat with the pitch.

Anyway, some ballparks actually have this trouble. Oracle Park has this exact problem in real life, but for a different reason. It has the glowish white background against the batter's eye, but it's also because you're playing in the shadows and the ball is in those shadows as well. In this game, it's a white glow (which hurts it all the same).

I should have specified...any time the sun is glaring off the batter's eye.
