    Anyone use dynamic difficulty?

While browsing through different threads, it seemed like most did not use dynamic difficulty, rather had a setting they always used. Curious…

For those that do not use dynamic difficulty, how did you decide what setting to leave it on?

For those that do use dynamic difficulty, how do you use it particularly? Put it on, and leave it on no matter what? Also, do you change the dynamic difficulty slider?

    For this year, HoF pitching.

For hitting, every year I start out my franchise on dynamic and put the slider setting as follows:

    April: 10
    May: 8
    June: 6
    July: 4
    August: 2
    September: 0
And when October starts for the playoffs, I'll check where the difficulty setting settled and keep it there for the rest of the time playing the current title.

Yes I use it and love it. I just started on AS and let it go where it may.

I'm currently 12-10 with the Cardinals and have had a wide variety of scores.

I’ve used it before after several years away from the series to hone my best difficulty level. However, once I settle in I usually change it to the nearest fixed setting as I’ve seen dynamic increase or decrease at inopportune times.

In the Xbox game pass era where I play the series every year, I just set my difficulty at the same place as the prior year and adjust up or down if needed.

I use it for Spring Training(I play every game) to set level for Regular Season. I used to use it all season but one year my hitting went HOF right before playoffs started. I got swept ands also one year I had a top pitching staff and my pitching was terrible because level went too high. So switched to just using it for Spring Training. One thing I don’t like about it is the game results controlled by game will determine your level. So if you have a bad team even if you mostly get good timing but don’t get hits your level will stay low thus your team may play better than it should.

So I’ve changed for regular season. I set whatever level that will get me results based on how well my team should be.

I use it until I get to Legend+ pitching and hall of fame+/legend hitting then I lock it in

I tried it and didn’t like it. I’d get to Hall of Fame with hitting and then just completely suck. It’s the small PCI that gets to me I think and I struggle to get hits but I would get some hits which would make it take forever to drop down a level. So my teams batting average would just plummet. I’ve been sticking with All Star + for hitting and Legend pitching and it seems to my perfect balance.

I have used it off and on over the years but it's biggest drawback is it has a "Come Back Code" feel to it. The obvious advantage tho is blowouts are less likely when playing Dynamic. Blowouts can still happen, but not at the higher rate playing at only one set difficulty.
