    Batting input

I've been playing the show for over 10 years. I normally play on HOF franchise, not into the whole online thing. I'm curious what inputs you guys use, whether it be analog or buttons. I use timing or directional.
I feel like I'm striking out alot using analog. I get killed on inside sliders and fastballs. I avg probably 9 to 12 k a game. I use the Stros, so not like I'm using an inept team. I'm just curious what the franchise guys use and even cameras. Maybe I'm just getting old.

I play using directional but only influence against pitchers with lower velocity.

Dynamic with the slider at 10 until I get to All-Star+ then knock the slider down to 3.

I use Zone hitting with button input. I turn the PCI off (distraction) and hit using the wide camera setting.

I’ve played this way for years now and enjoy the challenge of zone hitting and find that the wide hitting camera gives me the best chance of successful at bats due to the ability to recognize the pitch, speed and location.

These settings give me the most balanced hitting experience.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I use Analog/Directional. I found that, for whatever reason, I can get to those fastballs easier using that than buttons.

I use timing/buttons. I want ratings to matter more than my inputs. Plus I remember one year I tried zone and I barely struck out. With timing/directional I at least strike out sometimes as even with good timing batter will swing in wrong part of the zone.

I use Zone, PCI on, Fisheye or Fisheye 2 camera (I forget which I use).

Gents, thanks for the feedback. I switched to directional, and also, I am now using the wide camera. Getting way better results, I rake some games, some not so much, others I get dominated. I feel like I'm not late as much as I was before, which led to more strikeouts. I think the wide view helps me time up pitches better in my opinion.
I avg about 5 to 7 k a game, which is better than where I was at 10 or above.I do get the 1-2 k or 10 k games sprinkled in there too.

I use the WIDE camera for hitting, I feel like I get the best results with that camera.

I love the Catcher cam they added this year. It's been the only one I've used this year after trying a bunch across the previous two years.

It's just "Catcher". There's also "Catcher Far" (fka The Show 16) and "Catcher Near" (fka The Show 15), but I use plain "Catcher". It's straight on and has the right depth for seeing pitches easier.

I just use X. Pure timing. Veteran+ difficulty.

For years and years, I'd use the ability to push up to add loft and down to hit a grounder, until they took that option away. I quit trying square for a power hit when they did.

Anything more complicated is just too much for me.
Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.

They didn't take that option away. That's what Directional hitting is....
