12 was my first one but a lot of great points in this video about how sporting games were once masterpieces in a golden age.

Game was amazing....I wish they'd bring back slot of the stuff from that game on the franchise mode. I loved being able to set the prices, buying planes for road trips or upgrading the AAA Bus trips, field maintenance choosing the cut pattern and the kind of dirt. The real time getting rid of the canned car scenes was a great touch. I loved that game.

Ive been playing this game since 08 and dont ever remember being able to choose your grass pattern. I always wished that i could. I must have missed that option back then

Yeah there was a ton of options buried in there. You could checker pattern,standard line cuts. And pick the dirt...it would cut into the revenue though. But necessary bc of deterioration of the field increasing chance of injuries.

I'd give anything for these early The Show games to be upgraded with new rosters. I don't even need any uniforms or anything, just rosters and I'd be happy. Haven't enjoyed any of them since the PS2 and early PS3 years.

You're probably right. I never picked the red Sox but I know the Sox cut was in the game so it likely was an option. Just reflecting on this release makes me wish I still had it. If San diego studio brought back half the stuff in franchise from that game and put it in the future releases that would be epic....strictly for franchises options. Picking the type of grass and ticket prices, food prices etc. Modes of transportation day to day operations. 🤌[emoji2536]

10 was such a great game, it was the first year I preferred Show ⁷to 2k. I bought Show MLB 09 but never gave it a fair chance, instead sticking with that years 2k game.
