    The next gripe…passed balls/wild pitches

I can tell some things have been altered gameplay wise (even though they won’t admit that) and the game is playing much better.

Anyone else feel the blocked balls by catchers have reverted back to last year’s game where you are now about 50/50 to take the next base (auto base running). I personally think that was one of the things they really improved on for this game’s release but the last couple weeks it’s been noticeable that the catchers are getting to balls quicker and slinging it side arm and you are hosed more than before.

    No

My experience has been the same now as it was when the game launched.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I don't use auto baserunning. But gameplay feels exactly the same. Placebo

I use auto baserunning. On blocked balls I simply hold R1 and my runner won’t advance. It’s rare I would ever advance a runner on a blocked ball.

I use autobaserunning, super small sample size since last update but as of yet I haven't noticed a difference.

I noticed immediately that PB/WP don’t fly around like a pinball. They actually are slowed down so you have a second to react and send a base runner.

Just like with the “comeback code” there’s a whole lot of “I feel” posts yet not a single user can provide data to back up their claim.

Re: The next gripe…passed balls/wild pitches

Just seemed like WP/PBs were very “on point” before one of the later patches then all of a sudden catchers were getting to balls quicker and throwing guys out w the side-arm quick throw. Auto-Baserunning makes it harder to send a guy back b/c they leave before I can react fast enough (yes I know you can play on manual, the auto helps me tremendously). I was not the only one who claimed to see some change in fielder’s reaction mechanisms/timing. Could have been a bad run of where the ball was stopping & who was running. You can take a shot at me all you want, there have been plenty of nuances over the last 30 years of myself and other playing video games where “stuff” like this has been found to be true.

Everything seems exactly the same as it did on the day the game launched for me.

On auto base running you have to pay attention to the particular base runners attributes AND the count. I have never had a base runner take off when I didn’t want him using R1. You just have to keep pounding R1 thru that particular bat. It works.
