A's or Royals?

I'm looking for a complete, realistic, 30 team control rebuild. I'm trying to decide between the A's and Royals.

I love both uniforms. Not loving either stadium and I would be using the current rosters (July 18th).

Anyone have a strong opinion either way?

Both would be super challenging rebuilds. KC has a bit nicer stadium on the eyes plus they have Witt Jr.

I’d go KC as well. You do have a few pieces to build around unlike the A’s who have virtually no one. And like Jcar said, their uniforms, especially the city connects, are beautiful. So is their stadium with the fountain in center field.

If you want the biggest challenge possible, then go with the A’s.

I'd say Oakland. Rebuild the farm system and really build a foundation from scratch.

I always use the lowest payroll team in my favorite division - NL Central. This year it was Cincinnati. In previous years it was Pittsburgh.

I'd make a choice between those 2 divisions. Both teams are major rebuilds.

I love both teams uniforms and color schemes. The A's stadium is very bad but I do love the idea of a full rebuild. Plus, I'm a moneyball kind of rebuilder. I have always had this dilemma with my Franchise building. I like taking over teams that are awful and building them up. However, when I first started I would get bored quickly as my entire farms system would be A potential studs via trades, free agents or draft picks after tanking for three years or so. I'd like to take over a team that is completely depleted so the A's might be the team. Thanks.

My favorite team is the Reds. I have used them several times and this year they are actually too good LOL! They have too many prospects for me to make my own mark. The Pirates are intriguing. But, the issue is the Central is too bad right now for it to be a big enough challenge. The same kind of goes for the Royals. The A's division is much tougher and figures to be a harder rebuild.

Thanks for the input! Is there still a way to chose a different stadium to use before the games other than Oakland (since I don't want to build a new one right now)?

Yeah you can "assign a stadium" to any team while you're in franchise. Which means you can download any stadium from the vault and assign it to Oakland.

Millertime - In franchise before every game you have to go though a stadium select screen so you should be able to change stadiums. I have changed the weather conditions on this screen (I hate rain games) but I have never tried the stadium since I play as the Red Sox and am totally cool with Fenway.

You only have to do it once, just assign a stadium to a team at the beginning of franchise and that will be the default stadium until you change it.

I thought so. I usually go through that screen so fast I never pay attention to the details. Thanks!
