    EA's Volumetric Capture Technology

You have to check out the new deep dive trailer for FC24.

EA is talking about HyperMotionV and it's new volumetric capture technology. With this EA doesn’t need any motion capturing anymore. They can duplicate motions based on video material into the game.

They say in FC24 there are now 1200 different running animations. Before there were only 12!

Just imagine how accurate all the pitching animations and batting stance could be with a similar technology for Sony. Legend players with accurate motions. No need for other athletes imitating their moves anymore.

Just crazy. This is huge in my opinion.

Not sure what type of tech 2k is using, but they are doing sort of the same thing in the upcoming NBA 2k24 basketball game.

Too bad it doesn't help EA fix the "skating" problems in FIFA due to how animations have to load. And that's just one issue. You're going to run into the same problem if MLBTS adopts this approach unless the animation systems are redesigned with these technologies in mind. Granted, baseball is a start/stop sport, so maybe it would work a little smoother in its current state.

FIFA has had some of the worst gameplay and physics since they’ve added Hypermotion. I’m sure the technology is great if utilized correctly and hopefully it improves with FC24, but the transitions between animations is horrible and the game looks absolutely nothing like real soccer.
