    HOF vs Legend

Redownload MLB The Show 23…as is the case in 2k where superstar difficulty is more challenging than HOF…don’t know why. I am seeing HOF default is a lot less challenging that HOF default on the show. A lot more swings and misses on legend for cpu. Interesting. Anyone noticing the same thing?

What? You're saying legend is easier than HOF?

Personally I’m not seeing that at all. I was hitting incredibly until I switched to Legend and it has made it much closer to reality. I’m still pitching in HOF.

Since I’ve switched I’ve gone 1-9 and went from a 1/2 game lead to 5.5 out as the Phils. I’m still getting hits but a lot less crushed balls. I use Classic hitting if that makes a difference. Meter pitching.

After more games HOF is just as bad as legend in 23. Pitching was challenging in 22…now as they have said in streams…SCEA tuned for more swing and misses now the cpu will swing at junk way too often. The online crowd got emotional about too may foul balls in 22 so SCEA tweaked it…broke the pitching system.

All-Star and Hall of Fame were definitely easier for me than Legend pitching wise in 22, but I have not found that to be the case in 23.

Try default legend pitching, USER pitch control at 4 and CPU Timing at 7. CPU will no longer be late on every single pitch and you will actually have to fear good hitters. Last series versus Texas, I gave up 16 runs over 3 games as well as 13 XBH.

I thought you were trying everything at default with pitch control at 6?

I assume there is a patch coming soon, with gameplay updates. Every patch so far has had none lol.

I do enjoy the game now as it plays, but as everyone else is experiencing, the CPU could use some tuning. I just hope they don't go overboard lol

They haven’t touched gameplay yet, I highly doubt they will now.

I feel the opposite. I feel since they haven't touched gameplay yet, it's probably due for some adjustments/tuning/fixes whatever.

This is also the longest stretch in between patches..my guess would because a bigger patch than "stability fixes" is coming.

I could be wrong, but just my guess

                    Edit: I'm wrong lmao

Mainly because of the online crowd…they whimpered about too many foul balls (that’s baseball) scea caved and now it’s strikeouts galore. Gonna try 23 again..maybe all star comp mode will help strikeout issue…since they never make gameplay changes maybe they are focused on online difficulty for balance. For 23 it’s all star so worth a shot. 22 on comp doesn’t play well…sim setting is good…maybe 23 is different?
