Should I get MTS 23 or wait?

Hey guys, I have a ps4 and planning on getting a ps5 next year for college football and other titles. Im still playing MTS 22 but I’m curious should I get MTS 23 for the ps4? I feel like I’m cheating with the shift. Also, does MTS 23 still allow you to input music (SOTS)?

    Thanks

I can't say what you should do and cannot speak as to how much more improved the PS4 version of '23 is over the '22 version as I'm playing the PS5.

The only thing I can say is that for me, the PS5 version of '23 is the best all around version of the game.

And yes, SOTS is still available in '23 for the PS4 version.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

        It's not a terrible game.

Quite a few of us aren't happy with the cpu's approach/results at the plate + the high K rates, and have had a hard time "balancing" the game.

Others just roll with what the game gives them and seem quite happy.

If you don't like playing older titles (like MLBTS 20) and need your baseball fix, I think you'd find a way to enjoy 23.

To be fair, I wouldn't say I'm just rolling with what the game gives me, I'm getting pretty realistic results and having a great experience.

This is a difficult question for anyone else to answer for you. Every edition is slightly different from the prior. I say “improved” but that’s gotten me in trouble in these forums before. Whether it’s enough of a change to warrant a purchase is a personal decision - no one can make that for you. Obviously the more years you leap forward the more change you’ll see. One year leap is going to be the smallest difference.

If you can afford it get the ps5 now. Everything else will fall into place.

Personally I would wait until MLB24. I don’t think anyone really knew what impact the new rules would have on baseball and I think next year’s game will have things tuned correctly. I think they really dropped the ball with the clutch rating impact and the cpu hitting was a debacle this year IMO. I think ‘24 will be the ticket after a year of seeing the effects of the new rules.
