Scooter….I agree about adding groups of people we can see in the food areas, concourse, even if stationary, but garbage trucks, milkmen, etc. would be a waste. You have limited visibility outside of the stadiums. Creators go to great detail and you can’t see 90% of that stuff.

I wish that was the case using classic and legend but it's not.

It's not a new trend at all.
I still remember watching Ryan Howard hit and couldn't understand why no one just threw slider after slider in the dirt. Guy couldn't lay off them.

Yeah, Steve Garvey couldn’t hit it but it was posted as if it applies to all hitters.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 23 Patch 15 - Patch Notes
I understand the frustration but really have you guys not seen baez or ozuna strikeout chasing sliders low and away? I was at a Braves game vs the tigers and watched baez chase that pitch like it owed him money....and last night at the cubs game that's all they threw at him from asadd to the bullpen guys. He literally stood there and watched a fast ball for strike 3 but chased two straight sliders low and away in the other batters box. Ozuna same thing unless they get one hung they chasing no matter what.

I did up CPU contact, power & timing to 7 on AS+ for the record.
But moreover, I don’t think there’s anything remotely unrealistic about a starter getting 5-7 Ks thru his (now typical) 5-6 IP; seems to happen every day when I watch Tigers games; nor is it unrealistic for a bullpen to get an additional 3-5 Ks closing things out. In turn, 9-13 Ks is totally legit for basically any staff on any given day.
Edit: oh look, Smyly with 4K in 3.2 IP Wesneski with 5K in 2.1 IP, and Olson with 7K in 4.2 IP in tonight’s Tigers-Cubs game. CrAzY huh?Last edited by Detroit Tigers; 08-22-2023, 09:48 PM.Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 23 Patch 15 - Patch Notes
I’ve been playing the series for 13 years now and that has worked as long as I can remember. So do fastballs up and in on 2 strike counts, and inducing double play balls with low cutters. Much like the bullpen logic, I’ve accepted that it’s a quirk that won’t ever be fixed.
Once I updated my sliders for Contact and Timing for the CPU to 10, my K numbers are much more realistic.Last edited by MiracleMet718; 08-22-2023, 10:25 PM.Comment

[QUOTE=Detroit Tigers;2050811956 I find hitters chase at a mostly realistic rate and pitchers miss their spots at a mostly realistic rate.
[/QUOTE]
I'm on legend, and CPU chase rates are honestly too low. Just 23.4% in my last 5 games, 25% in my last 10, 24% in my last 20, and 25.1% all time since I started tracking this year. For reference, MLB average this year is 31.8%.
Like so many things in this game, that's not bad so much as just 15 years out of date. In 2008, league average was 24.9%. This game should probably just be called MLB The Show 2008 version 16.

Finally got a screenshot of the Comerica right wall fix.
For the Quick Count fix, wait for the Update #17 to see a T-Rex eat one pitch on each at bat.Attached FilesComment

Re: MLB The Show 23 Patch 15 - Patch Notes
They work in real life though. If you up the CPU contact slider to 10, they foul those off or occasionally go the other way in my findings on Legend difficulty. But most strikeouts in MLB happen on sliders away and fastballs up, so it should continue to be a thing in the game (albeit maybe toned down a bit).
Once I updated my sliders for Contact and Timing for the CPU to 10, my K numbers are much more realistic.
