Injury with Injuries Off
I played a franchise game this morning and the opposing Pitcher (Max Fried fo the Braves) was hit by a line drive. I got an onscreen injury message, which was weird because I NEVER play with injuries. I thought that I must've screwed up the settings and somehow left injuries on, but a check showed that they are off. Also, the injury slider is set to 0. Has anyone ever seen this?Tags: None -

Re: Injury with Injuries Off
Injuries were "off" in settings in addition to the injury slider zeroed out. I'm not sure what you mean about manual injuries.Comment

Re: Injury with Injuries Off
Well that's a new one if you zeroed them out and turned off injuries....maybe someone else has an idea why that happened. I use manual injuries when I see fit but otherwise have them on for the realism. To turn manual injuries on you'd have to go into the settings for your profile and it'll be with your setup for like the umpire personalization setup etc. It's a few clicks of the r1 button.
Sorry it's r1 to get it to general and the r2 until you get to miscellaneous and it's under injuries.

Re: Injury with Injuries Off
It's been this way for years. A pitcher getting beaned by a line drive results in an injury regardless of whether you have injuries off or on or where you have the injury slider.
I've played with injuries off (and usually the slider at 0) for a few years now and have had this happen a handful of times.Comment

Yeah I believe it has something to do with pitchers being injured by a line drive has a special set of parameters for it to trigger.

Re: Injury with Injuries Off
These guys have already said what it probably is but I just wanted to throw out there that if you are using 2 profiles (1 for yourself & 1 for the other teams) make sure that injuries are off on both of them. Just somethng else to check.Comment

Re: Injury with Injuries Off
Next question...I have 32 team control and everything set to manual. Somehow he's been removed from the rotation, but remains on the MLB roster. How'd that happen? Any way to manually remove his injury?Comment

This is exactly what happened. I've never seen it and I've played for years.

And he'll still be on the roster for the mlb but just be removed bc of the injury and Depending on how severe it will place him on the DL at the mlb level.

Re: Injury with Injuries Off
I've had this happen in this exact same scenario, line drive off the pitcher. If you really don't want the injury you can turn injuries to manual and remove it.Comment
