how the trades been you seen this year?

Curious how bad some of the trades you have seen been in franchise or MTO?

I just had an awful one in MTO. The Yankees gave me Volpe for Pedro Leon and Ryan Stanek, Their idea LOL Hilarious

Yeah some trades in franchise are fine, and some are just not good at all. I'm thankful for 30 team control and multiple save files, so I can undo some of the crazy trades.

So, you got a pop up message that NY was offering Volpe for 2 of your players? I feel like its usually 1 for 1 trade offers when it comes from the CPU.

The only thing I’ve seen is VERY early trades. Like first two weeks to a month trades that don’t really make sense for where the teams are in the standings.

Felt worse than in 22 to me. Ended up just disabling CPU trades and handling them myself this year. Teams in "rebuilding" still trading for aging veterans at the deadline, teams trading top prospects for veteran relievers in the 70s overall, felt almost random at times.

Have barely payed it attention tbh but I do know the Guardians traded Kwan to CWS and it made zero sense.
          Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.

Too many young prospects getting traded for mid level guys. Elly has been traded twice already and one of those trades was for middle relief guys. They def need to update that trade metric again because the CPU trade are all over the place.

The Royals seem to have an obsession with trading Bobby Witt Jr no matter how many times I undo the trade

I see some head scratchers in the Show, but then I see some in real life too, so I don't obsess on that aspect too much. What grinds my gears though is when I see multiple players passed around at least 5 times, like the league is playing hot potato with those handful of players. I would like to see the third team a guy gets traded to in 1 season hold on to that player the rest of the year.

Re: how the trades been you seen this year?

I think my other main issue is teams trading players that are in no position to trade. For example, in my season when Elly was traded, the Reds were in dead last and should’ve been trying to add to their prospect pool. Instead they traded him for two MLB RPs. On the other side of the coin, the Cards were in first place and making a playoff push and traded Arenado for prospects.

I’d have no problem if top prospects were traded or big contracts were moved if the deals made sense to where teams were in the standings. Same with the players on the trade block. It just seems like there is no thought into the teams position in the standings or positional surplus/needs when making trades.

Re: how the trades been you seen this year?

This is why I use 30-team control, put trade slider at zero and make trades for every team using Armor's dice roll system.

Trade logic for this game isn't my cup of tea.

I always start the season with the trade frequency slider at 0. At the beginning of May I put it at 1. June 2. July 3. August I bump it up to 5 to start the month, then turn it all the way up in the week before the trade deadline. You still get stupid trades but that helps with those early season ones.

I've noticed SS is a very easy position to trade for and they get passed around like crazy. I've been offered Volpe/Witt/etc superrrrrr cheap and have to decline the offer because I don't wanna play that way.
