    Auto throwing

Looking for input on anyone that uses auto throwing. I use auto base running and fielding. Directional and classic. Completely clean screen approach. With nearly no slider adjustments. Just wondering if this would just add another level of rating based approach.

I'll start by saying it's a video game....user preference trumps all.

I feel it does, and I def saw new and smoother field/throw animations when I implemented auto throwing on MLBTS 23. I really liked it.

I strictly play MLBTS20 now, and haven't tried auto throw with this game. I prob should, just to see if it unlocks new animations and even smoother gameplay.

Here is my take: if you truly want a full ratings/sim experience then auto field, auto throw and auto baserunning is the way to go. The cpu is programmed to act a certain way in certain situations (using player ratings), so shouldn't the user have to play with the same "rules"?

For example: a user can override player ratings, game situations etc. and be overly aggressive on the base paths or possibly even make smarter fielding decisions. IMO, it def gives the user a little bit of an advantage, BUT it can go the other way as well, and this is where user preference kicks in (more control or less control). I watched Armor lose a playoff series, because he was overly aggressive sending a baserunner home, and it cost him the game and the series. Some gamers like the human input element and the ability to make decisions on their own.

I think "gamers" feel it's a little too boring if all they do is pitch and swing the bat. BUT for full sim, I think setting as many things to auto as possible is the right call.

Heck, on MLBTS 23, I even let the AI call all of my pitches. I only swung the bat, threw the pitch and made in-game personnel decisions.

On 20, I swear by Armor's set up and sliders and don't waiver one bit off of them.

I use auto throwing. I always have. I just pitch and hit. Full clean screen as well as hitting and pitching with broadcast angles... I find it a lot smoother, and honestly, I find it more difficult..
