I don’t know how others felt but I voted for the Show because it’s the game that the devs did the least to screw up what worked/was working. Also, it is the one game where turning off the commentary made the game far more enjoyable. Preemptive apologies to the whole community if Arte Moreno’s dumb announcer juggling act was the reason why Matty V couldn’t do the commentary now, turns out he couldn’t do the commentary for our live broadcasts either remotely.
Also, Franchise Hockey Manager I think is getting close to being worthy of inclusion on the same level of OOTP, both because of OOTP’s decline with the microtransactions and then the hardcoding out of leagues and how much more effort its obviously smaller dev team puts into a properly licensed and surprisingly deep product. Hopefully it makes the list next year for the vote. It’s where OOTP should and could be but have chosen not to be, basically. The. amount of interaction the devs do with the players is also commendable. I’ve been reporting bugs to devs and it took 2K 4 years to fix a bug I reported and it took 1 patch for FHM. I don’t get around to merging pull requests to fix my own damn buggy code that quickly sometimes, so definitely props for that.
