    Slump

What do y'all do when you're in a slump!? I've nearing the end of a season, and I've been on a fat losing streak. 5 straight...I just feel like I can't hit anymore lol.

Perfect/Perfects are going into double plays, I can't hit a homer, constantly striking out. CPU seems to hit perfectly timed home runs and go on hitting streaks against me.

Do y'all ever delete your settings to try and reset the game. Uninstall reinstall lol.

Ever since I saved in the middle of game and came back to finish...its like something changed, and I can't be offensive anymore

When I hit a slump, I just concentrate on getting into better hitter counts.

You just have to grind it out. Slumps are no fun, but you just have to keep going. You’ll eventually come out of it. Normally my first one or two wins after a losing streak is really hard. Back and forth and I barely squeak it out. Then I’ll unload 12 runs on them the next game. Slumps will make you want to pull your hair out, but you have to just keep at it.

Slumps are part of this game. My season is Win one…lose one…..win 2….lose 2. Recently put together a 4 game win streak…..then played the Braves lost 4-3. I can’t imagine starting over because I’m not winning. I just need competitive games.

The ebbs and flows and slumps of the season are part of why I love the game. When my team stops hitting, I tend to become more and more patient and take a ton of pitches per at bat.

When my team is hot, I smile.

When my team is in a cold streak, I smile even more.

Adversity is fun to overcome - you get into a slump, nothing is wrong with the game....it's you, it's your team, it's baseball. You just ride it out, make smart adjustments and let it work itself out.
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

I used to tell my players....if you have not gone 1 for 20 you have not been playing baseball long enough.

When I go through a slump on The Show I actually take a 3-4 day break....just walk away....play something else.

Then come back and be patient. Work into hitters counts and eventually you will snap outta it.

Taking a couple of days off really does help. When I’m in a slump I’m bad about wanting to play multiple games in a row to try to come out of it. But that just makes it worse, because the more games in a row I play, the more I start swinging at junk and rushing my pitches and making a bunch of mistakes that get crushed. It’s hard to do but turning the game off for a while does help.

I’m currently on the same boat as you. In my second season with the Reds (2024) I’m in mid June leading the central by 5 games… but all of the sudden I have entered a big slump, I’m 2-8 in my last ten games, my offense has disappeared alongside with my pitching.

Lately, A 92 mph fastball feels like 99 mph and I’m always late on everything, even changeups and curveballs[emoji28][emoji28] which is saying something. My last game played was a rubber match at home against the Angels and I lost that one 18-2, It took 4 position players to get 2 outs in the 9th, ouch!.

After a day off, I’m heading to KC for 2 games, hopefully I can find my timing again.

Lmao! This is where I'm at..I was in mid August with a 10 game lead in the division. Since this slump, I'm down to 4...it's getting too close for comfort lol

Just keep swinging or pitching. The cpu will get you out of the slump in about 10 games. Then you get to look forward to a hot streak where you are crushing it.

Unless you’re playing with the A’s.
No doubt you will work your way out of a slump with them, but that just means you are having competitive losses. I am playing with them and having a blast though and will eventually make a decent team out of them.

I used the A's in with '22 and took them to the ALCS in year 3 and lost. It was heartbreaking after building that team up for 3 seasons.

Yes and I would highly recommend using two sacks, one over your head in case you’re slump busters sack breaks.
