I hope they fix the color blocking on catchers gear. In the picture below the orange trim portion and the black leg straps have to be the same color which makes replicating real life colors impossible.

Yeah that's been a pet peeve of mine on catchers gear for a while. Usually I'll set the strap colors to match the trim since they are tied together

I believe I remember it being said, equipment is the last thing added... So we won't know of new equip until early access.

I mean that's definitely been true the last few years. But if it works like the last few years, we won't know if new equipment until like June.

I despise the way they’ve done the equipment the last few years. At least last year was better than 22 when they didn’t even put half of it in on release.

‘22 was so bad for equipment on release. The worst part was equipment was available to buy with stubs on the website that didn’t even have renders in game. Hoping ‘24 at least doesn’t move backward. Higher resolution equipment renders including animated shoe laces and batting pads would do so much for the look of the game imo or at least for equipment nerds like me. Would also really like to see better color blocking. The color selection has been a very poorly executed design since licensed equipment came in because the color palette is so limited and mismatched to accurate colors.

Not sure 24 was good either. Remember we didn't get the Nike cleats that everyone wore until mid season.

Noticed any new cleats?

In the RTTS vid, Pete Alonso has on the new Trout cleats . Not sure if those were added at the end of last year.

The multicolor portion scares me though because I am 100 percent sure that is not editable.

Yes those are in 23 now... And correct, the multi color can not be edited.

Does anybody know if the pant length is customizable(above the knee) ?
Doesn’t look like it from the trailer which is bad because the default length is terrible

Most players that wear high socks still wear the pants just below the knee. I know there are some guys that wear them above the knee (which looks really dumb to me, personally, but to each their own), but that isn't the more common length.

Outside of a few pairs of cleats and batting gloves, I'm not expecting any changes to anything. SDS has ruined what used to be a great game.

I’m not expecting anything big from equipment. Other than Bruce Bolt batting gloves and Mizuno catchers the brands are mostly represented. Honestly I’m fine with the exact same equipment as last year I’d they’d just give us a color wheel and give us more freedom as far as colors for everything. There’s no reason we can’t be able to edit logos on gloves, cleats etc. I hate when players have all white Adidas batting gloves because you can’t see the logo. They just look like a pair of generic white gloves. But again, I’m not expecting much. Equipment has mostly been neglected the past several years.

Mizuno is a pretty rare brand for Catchers, so that's not really a huge deal for me.

My biggest wishes aren't specific brands. I want hand guards for hitters, toe guards for pitchers, QB wristbands and pitchcoms for catchers, and oven mitts for baserunners.

How did they ruin it by not including more equipment? They only added in equipment in The Show 17 and since then they’ve never had all of the up to date stuff in anyway. Out of all of the sports games, they’ve always had the least amount of customization options, but they have more now than they’ve ever had.

If anything, it’s more of a room for improvement than ruining something they never had.
