By the very nature of it, Franchise Mode is always going to have smaller amount of improvements because of that complexity. That is, until/unless Sony can figure out a way to make the kind of money off Franchise the way it does with Diamond Dynasty .
Well the discussion was with the developers of franchise mode along with other various developers and engineers. And its no secret that MLB franchise is behind other franchise modes on the market, but unfortunately its not going to catch all the way up in one single cycle. Y2Y was both the greatest and worst feature for franchise mode. Greatest for allowing you to continue your progress year over year, but worst in the fact that it set the mode back several cycles.

RTTS and Franchise mode, along with MTO, share a similar foundation. Franchise mode is the "ground floor" so to speak for those two modes. So, I don't know that I would say that developing for RTTS is easier than Franchise because they share similar features for the modes to function properly.

If SDS didn't care about franchise mode and really didn't care if it progressed forward or not, why would they have a) hired in a person such as tbarnes from this site to work exclusively on franchise mode and b) why would they have removed Y2Y saves when it was a selling feature to get those who invest heavily into franchise mode to buy the newest installment because they could carry over their progress?

The overhaul/rebuild of the draft and scouting wasn't done in one development cycle. Much like Create a Stadium, it was worked on for a few cycles before it was actually unveiled and released into the game. I don't doubt they are working on similar upgrades/rebuilds that will eventually make it into the game as we get further along.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
