I see this mentioned a lot, but don’t 2K and Madden also make games for last gen? Genuine question.

I’ve been hoping for a graphical leap for the last couple of years, it’s well overdue in my opinion.

Not having custom draft classes at this point in time is embarrassing. They’ve been a staple in the other sports games for years

I’ve been hoping for a graphical leap for the last couple of years, it’s well overdue in my opinion.

Not only that, but they had next gen versions the FIRST year the consoles were out.

The Show's different versions don't feel very different from each other. "next gen" had the Negro Leagues last year and they have stadium creator, but the actual gameplay expiernece feels the same as the old system version.

If there's no graphical update this year it’s just lazyness on their end, for years their excuse was always “we have a small team” and this and that, I haven’t bought the last 2 versions of the game and if it still looks the same I’m not buying it either. Literally no excuse for a PS5 game to still have player models look like a PS3 game. I feel they get away with it since they have no competition.

Laziness by people who will drop mattresses next to their work stations to catch some shut eye due to the long hours. Even bring their pets in? Competition would mean zero due to how long it actually takes to develop a game.

It does seem as if Franchise mode will get some of the March to October features.

I looked at the Xbox store and the description for Franchise mode reads:

"Lead your team to world series glory as a team manager in Franchise mode. Experience new features providing more in depth and dynamic gameplay from March to October."

If they don’t have graphics upgrade to next gen and don’t offer online franchise - I’m skipping it this year. The gameplay might be better than the other major sports games but they have the worst franchise mode and the worst graphics out of the major 3 - nba, nfl, and mlb.

It's also simple supply and demand. As much as it pains me to say it, compared to soccer basketball and football, baseball is practically a ''niche'' sports and the consumer market cannot support two baseball games any longer. Probably cannot support two basketball and two football games either. The cost it takes to produce a AAA yearly sports video game is astronomical versus what it took just twenty years ago. And it peeves me no end when people say someone is lazy without spending one single day watching these guys labor. They might be slower than we wish them to be but we just have zero evidence of any laziness.

Sports games make more money now than ever. The card game modes have generated insane amounts of money. Streamers drop thousands of dollars on launch nights.

The Show went multiplat and generates as much money as it does from DD. The Show has never been bigger or made more money than it has these last few seasons.

Now, I'm not going to call the developers lazy, they make the game and I'm not going to pretend I know where all that money goes and how much is fed into the budget for the game.

Hopefully they show great strides this year! Can't wait to see.

Separation of DD from RTTS. Road to the show needs to go back to letting us pick who you are trying to be like. Are you trying to be like Ohtani or even a closer like Trevor Hoffman. A new version of the futres game that you start with would be nice to.

This makes me nervous if I’m being honest. I’ve never touched MTO and honestly don’t know what it consists of. But from what I’ve heard of it I’m not sure it want franchise becoming more similar to it. Even though I have a feeling traditional franchise will be going away in a few years in favor of MTO.

Two things about this

The first being while MTO is decent I have always worried they might switch franchise over one day to MTO and that would destroy the game for me so I hope that day never comes

Second I am trying to think what could they add from MTO to franchise? I mean what do they have franchise does not?

Maybe its just a play on words as the season runs from March to October.

I need a LEAP in graphics this year to buy. They could absolutely redo franchise and RTTS, add all my wants and desires... and I won't buy this year if we are still getting this early PS4 models.

I just feel they have gotten lazy.

Franchise hasn't been fun in years. RTTS has never really had any improvements to it honestly, and it's finally wearing on me.

135 hours put in last year was some of my least played hours ever for a The Show game.

We need the ability to edit managers/coaches like we can edit players. Kills the immersion factor when you have generic base coaches and managers.

Also, I personally would love a true single season mode. I would like to just play through the 2024 season with my team from ST to the WS without having to worry about scouting, the draft, etc.

Finally, for the love of the game, please make it easier to edit rosters. In the exhibition screen, we should be able to just release players and pick them up from the free agents without all of the dancing around.
