For 19, I thought the placeholder cover from when Harper was still a free agent was a lot better than the final cover that was quickly put together after he signed.

MLB: San Francisco Giants, Oakland Athletics (Sell The Damn Team, Fisher!)
        NFL: San Francisco 49ers
        NHL: San Jose Sharks
        MLS: San Jose Earthquakes
        EPL: Brentford FC

I know it’s not the standard editions but my two favorite covers are ‘19 and’17 collector editions.

I love the “simplicity” of ‘19

The '19 Collector's box is sharp, I had forgotten that one.

As for the cover athlete rankings, I'm still getting over David Wright putting up 8 WAR during the year he was on the cover and not getting a single MVP vote. There's no way that ever happens today.

I'm no Harper fan by any stretch but that placeholder was so unique, it was much better than his Philly cover. Also, Bryse can slash thru World Series now, only Cooperstown left on that bucket list.

Anytime the baseball writers are in charge of making educated logical decisions that is what happens. They are the same folks that vote on HOF.
