MLB 18 had three different themes with Theme 1 and Theme 2 and MLBN.

On MLB 19 they removed one of the non MLBN themes and we had 2 themes for 19 and 20.

Your timeline is slightly off. 17-19 had three presentation packages each (two made by SDS plus the MLB Network one). 20 is when they whittled it down to only two (one made by SDS + MLB Network). And 22 is when they shifted to the regional/national model. I especially enjoyed when they had their own presentation packages mimic the ones used by NBC and FOX (as they did in '19).

But, yeah, I'd love it if they brought back the MLB Network package. I've mentioned this before, but that was the only package that felt "right" to use with classic rosters. As if MLB Network was rebroadcasting a classic game.

This will be up on the front page in the morning (with some of my added thoughts), think it takes on some added context with the college football game news where it does really seem like ESPN will likely be back in that one way or another in that one.

It's the game's broadcast theme for nationally televised games. A bit more like a FOX or ESPN game. I don't think commentary changes much outside of maybe the intro, but the graphics/storebug are different

I have no idea what sort of legal/licensing issues are involved with this, but with AI, any broadcaster's voice should be able to used within The Show along with these different broadcasting themes.

As a BoSox fan, I would love to hear Ned Martin giving play-by-play alongside Jerry Remy.

Imagine being able to hear Harry Carey broadcast a Cubbies game along with Steve Stone?

The idea of the developers being offended is hilarious because who cares. My wallet and I are offended lol Anyways, would be great to have back for sure, but having official packages isn’t necessary if the presentation was where it needed to be. Still don’t even have a Spanish commentary team, and proper contextual stat recognition and acknowledgement. All aspects that we would have if they truly still cared about the “little” things.

Why was the MLB Network theme taken out in the first place? If they couldn't use it Why didn't they at least still give us 3 options? Last question, is the theme they've been showing for the Derek Jeter storylines this year's theme? I hope not because it's extremely ugly.

My guess is because they were no longer using MLB Network Announcers (Matty V, Plescac, DeRo) that they made the decision to no longer use the MLB Network theme. Perhaps MLBN didn't want them to use the theme if they didn't use their announcers

I would imagine the score bug they showed for Jeter storylines is moment specific, as they used to have ERA specific score bugs for historical moments. I think that's just a generic 90's theme that they will use for his storyline

I would be surprised if this were true, since MLB Network is plastered all over ads in the stadiums. Might have something to do with next gen assets.

I’m certain that scorebug is era specific. The themes from last year were really popular so I’m sure they’ll build on those for this year.
