It means we are getting the same game as last year so no need for a tech test 😩👎

Well, I don’t think because there’s no tech test they know there are problems, they’re afraid to let people see the game, they just don’t care, and why test tech a game that hasn’t changed in 100 years. (sarcasm off)

No tech test makes me fearful that the game will be a buggy mess when released.

So it's just like every game that gets released now a days?

I mean, I always expect the worst. Crosses fingers! LOL.

I see it as more positive than negative. In their previous tech test, they were looking more at users feedbacks on new play mechanism than testing the game itself. And sometimes I had the feeling it was more to tweak their online gaming more than nothing else.

Sure we were able to trap some bugs in the process but to me the fact no new batting, pitching or fielding mechanisms is introduced this year is a sign of stability.

Doesn’t mean they won’t make adjustments tho.

Correct. With no proper challenges, no fixed bullpen logic etc... This is the first time I may pass since the game dropped. Sad day honestly...

What does it mean? It means there is no tech test. I don’t know the need to debate whether it’s good or bad.

There could be several reasons, none of which imply quality of the game, why they didn’t do it this year.

Yeah, unless Sony says exactly what it means, there's really no other way to know. Everything is conjecture. Maybe it just means participation has been dwindling and they aren't getting any real value out of it. Without me knowing positively I assume it's the same reason a lot of games quit doing demos, which is basically what I always viewed the tech test as.

The title of the thread is “ No Tech Test for MLB The Show 24: What Does This Mean?”.

Of course there is going to be a debate on what that means, that is the point of the thread to get people’s opinions on that.

                          No ****

My opinion is that not having a tech test doesn’t have to automatically equal a good or bad thing in terms of the quality of the game.

It could mean they didn’t add any new mechanics they are trying to get feedback on, could mean they didn’t have time, could mean they no longer saw value because they weren’t getting enough feedback due to the community treating it more as a demo than a tech test.

Hmm, okay. I guess nobody should give their opinion on good or bad. Everyone needs to be vanilla on this topic. No ****.

Where did I ever say that?

My opinion, for the third time, is that not having a tech test automatically speaks to the quality of the game. It could be other factors. Thus there’s no need for me to debate/determine whether that’s good or bad.

Others may have the opinion that it does speak to the quality of the game and thus debate/ determine whether that’s good or bad.
