So you’re telling me there is still a chance that we have a better soundtrack this year?

The new menus for 24 are ****ing beautiful!!

Hopefully the UIs inside of Franchise and DD are changed as well.

I thought 23's was the best one yet. I also hope 24 has as many songs as 23. I cant go back to a 10 or 12 song list. The small list of songs go stale way to quick.

MVP 2005 had the all time best baseball soundtrack "Swing Swing", "Tessie", ..Now most of it is rap. I'd love some more baseball songs.

            - gameplay relatively untouched

So clearly they spent basically this entire development cycle working on Storylines. Which begs the question........ Why?

            DD is your moneymaker.
            Diehards clamor for franchise updates.

Both groups want graphical and gameplay upgrades.
So why in the name of all that is holy would you spend basically an entire dev cycle on Storylines, that which basically no one asked for? That which basically no one plays regularly. That which can be seen on YouTube in real life? I'm honestly lost....

I do need say that SDS comprises of more than just a team of devs and artists. This Jeter Storylines obviously had dev time dedicated to it by that team. But there are other devs and teams working on other stuff during the dev cycle as well.

While I'm unsure about what these next two feature premieres will present to us specifically, I am sure that there will be updates to other modes/gameplay as well. SDS always tweaks some things or introduces new things every single year.

I for one am excited to hear about lefty pitcher pinpoint seemingly being the reverse of righty. Pinpoint pitching is too easy and become second nature. This will add a new, fun wrinkle to gameplay. Example: I just pitched 7 or 8 innings with my stud number 1, now I'm bringing in my all star lefty closer in a save situation late in the game. I better not zone out and just meatball a pitch bc I forgot that I'm on lefty pinpoint now. LOVE to see it!

But as with many (if not most) of you here, I am praying that SDS has had a team of dev working diligently on true current gen graphically updates both this past dev cycle and throughout the upcoming dev cycle. Hoping that MLBTS25 finally brings us into the 9th gen console generation.

And what if a person just loves baseball and doesn't have any alternative games? Some people just buy games because it's the newest thing out and they love the sport.

That's the key. Anyone saying "the sales will be proof that people are mad/disappointed" etc, it's not an indicator at all. They are the only product on the market. Same with Madden. Sales will always go up year to year, regardless. These last two console gens there has been zero competition, and we are seeing the result of that.

I mean, it sucks that there aren't any alternative baseball games for anyone who isn't satisfied with The Show, but it's not like you are a helpless victim when you decide to spend your own money on this game.

The market for simulation baseball games may essentially be a monopoly, but the video game market in general is not. If you find yourself begrudgingly spending your money on this game, then it's probably time to stick with an older version you liked and find something else to spend your $70 bucks on each year. With CFB coming out this year I'm considering that myself as I haven't seen anything in the feature premieres yet to really get me to commit to 24.

Sad thing is the sales could probably even take a hit, but as long as the revenue stream from DD continues to increase that's all that matters.

In a weird way the game coming to xbox probably halted a lot of progress on the game. Them giving free access to millions on gamepass has boosted those revenue streams significantly. DD is the king. No question. The sales matter less and less.

That is why the people saying speak with your wallet and don't buy the game aren't really seeing the big picture.

I buy the game at regular price and play franchise the entire cycle.

Anybody who spends more than that price on DD packs instantly becomes a more valuable customer than me. I have friends drop hundreds of dollars on launch night and drop the game within 2 months, while I am still playing deep into the season, and they are STILL a more valuable customer than me.

This is the first year I've played DD and I had a team full of 99s (who I actually like - Henderson, Ashburn, Reggie Jackson, etc..) pretty damn quickly without payin. Who's payin and for what?
