MLB 24 Possibly Last The Show?

Updates and features for the show have been slowing down over the years but this year (so far) seems to be a new level.

One possible reason, without any evidence, is that SCEA knows they’re not going to be making the game after this year. If MLB is looking to partner with someone new or costs went up so that it’s no longer a smart investment for Sony, it would make sense to not put a lot of effort into the game. If details are still being worked out it wouldn’t be announced yet but the developers and SCEA would know.

It could very well be the beginning of the end of MLB The Show in the next a year or 2

I sure hope that is not the case though and maybe like a few other people here have said they are basically skipping 24 and getting ready for 25 which will finally be the first real version for PS5/X Box Series X?

If anything, SDS is making more money off of this game series than ever, after the past couple of years releasing on all consoles both last gen and current gen.

You're also talking about EA, which is known for making boneheaded decisions with a lot of their sports franchises. The Show isn't going anywhere, especially not anytime soon. And if for some reason I end up being wrong, I'll admit I was wrong. But I don't believe I am. Nothing wrong with us disagreeing with each other. I've always valued your input around here. If I remember correctly, I think High Heat was cancelled because 3DO went under. I believe Microsoft holds the license for it now. I would love for them to try their hand at making a proper Baseball game.
