I agree. The crowd, ambiance, etc. are some of the best in the game when you have the announcers turned off.

Re: MLB 24 Franchise team choice?

I found this last year that I have a hard time using created stadiums in the majors. I made an A's (and Rays) stadium that I really liked, but when I started using it, it just didn't do it for me. The lack of anything on the backstop (along with it looking paper thin despite being brick), dugout being off, gigantic foul territory, plain walls, generic scoreboards, Outfielder depth being WAY off, I just didn't enjoy it. Ended up going back to using the Coliseum even though I'm not really a fan of that ballpark either.

There'd have to be substantial upgrades to the stadium creator so the field can resemble an actual major league field before I'd replace a real stadium again.

Some of these created stadiums are absolutely fantastic and the skills these guys have are awesome. However, I can only use them for a few games, as they just ultimately don't come close to the real stadiums for me. They're too generic because of how limited the resources are.

Does anyone actually complete a full season in franchise? That’s a lot of games. I see a lot of people start a franchise but then keep restarting because of new rosters. Wish we had the ability to change franchise season length…like season mode in 17. That likely won’t happen since they implemented the GBL and trying to get more people online.

              I completed 2.5 seasons in '23.

Yeah, I'd be all for more options.
But more to the point, there are plenty people who like baseball video gaming and who have enough free time, its easier for them to get in 3 seasons in 365 days. And a few more people who who use quick generated counts or sim half the season and play the other half, thats like 240 games in 365 days. Very doable, if baseball is your main hobby.

Re: MLB 24 Franchise team choice?

I always play with my Cubs.

In 23 I started something new that I recommend to everyone - sim the first season (while still scouting and drafting, and managing roster)

Then, I take over in the offseason.

THEN, I institute a SALARY CAP OF $175 million. Yes, you heard that right.

I write down the budgets of any team over $175 and the budgets of every team under $100 then start manually trading players from rich to poor until every team is at $175 or below. (Sorry Dodgers)

After that I play all 162 with my Cubs with quick counts.

With Ron Washington with the Angels now I think would be interesting to play with the Angels. They won 73 games last year. They gave Ron Washington a 2-year deal. With the departure of Ohtani, Trout has to step up big time. What young talent is close to bringing up in Anaheim? How tough will American League West be in 2024? Anaheim has some veteran leadership in place. With Ohtani's departure, I see this club losing 10 to 15 games more games. Is there any surprise talent that will shine in 2024?

The American League West has won the last two World Series. Texas and Houston is certainly a handful.

Mike Trout is 32 years old probably be best to ship him out before more injuries. What could you get in return for him? Obviously, you would have to ship him to a contender.

Of course, he would want to stay close to home. So the Dodgers would probably be the perfect fit for him. Reuniting him and Ohtani. Dodgers have the money and players to swap in a massive trade that could benefit the Angels for years to come. Of course, Trout is a hall-of-fame player but wants to compete for a ring before retirement.
