Yeah, Scouting Report comes straight from SDS. The showzone article that I partially quoted above was unofficial, but appears to be correct.Comment

Yep it’s small but it does look indeed like a pitch clock on the wall.
If it was also added to the scorebug then that one little thing just pulled me back in a little bit closer to buying 24. The bigger bases is nice as well.
I LOVE the little details which is something SDS was great at up until the last few years.Last edited by tnixen; 02-28-2024, 06:04 PM.Comment

Really curious how the pitch clock is going to work. Because the CPU would never come close to getting a violation, and I’m sure most users throw a pitch way before the time runs out.Comment

Would be cool if they were able to bring back real time presentation with the pitch clock implementation. I feel like that's the only way it would make a differenceChicago Cubs

At first that was my thought, but then I realized if the clock hits zero and there is no penalty, then that will look aesthetically awkward. Hopefully Sony has a enough forethought to make it optional. Like the way they do with balks. I like the idea of balks but at the end of the day I have to option it OFF since the computer isn't going to ever be penalized.T-BONE.

Man….being able waiting 14 seconds or so between a pitch? Really drag out the length of a game. I would think it would get old real fast and people would just X thru it.Comment

I already do this. When batting I hold R2 until Singleton tires out from making a long-winded speech, and when pitching I wait till he's thru droning on before I wind up. If this clock is actually functional, I'll probably be the biggest offender.T-BONE.
