Excited for the presentation aspect. The amount of commentary nuggets on individual players has been really impressive the last two years, even if some Boog’s and Singleton lines are too repetitive.
Also wondering if MLB network might be incorporated (fingers crossed) They have been using Lauren Shehadi and Robert Flores during some of the trailers and reveals.Comment

I hope they add something. I could care less about some combine. This is not the NFL. I need franchise news,Last edited by LegendKillerOne; 03-07-2024, 09:23 AM.Mets Baseball, All Day Every Day

Re: MLB The Show 24 Feature Premiere Tomorrow - Draft Combine, RTTS, Presentation & M
Last year they had a feature premiere
1. storylines
2. gameplay
3. diamond Dynasty
4. Road to the show
5. Presentation, commentary, franchise, and March to October
6. live content
This year there are four scheduled feature premieres
1. Negro league storylines
2. Jeter storylines
3. Draft combine, RTTS, presentation and more
4. ? Gameplay? Franchise? MTO?
The lack of even one sentence about franchise mode at this point leads to three obvious conclusions.
1. Part of the “and more” feature premier,
2. Combined with the last feature premiere next week
3. Not included in either remaining feature premieres
Either way they’re avoiding franchise discussion at all cost because they know the backlash that’s coming once the game is released. But here is what grind my gears every year. They have a forum on their website, operation sports, and twitter where people can voice their opinions, wish lists and suggestions.
But in reality, none of the feedback matters. While The annual pre-release marketing takes place, there is no acknowledgment of a for franchise each year. They don’t even acknowledge that they’re aware of feature request, and questions people have about certain features or aspects of franchise cannot be added or tweaked. Or even layout what the plan is for the upcoming year and down the road. There’s no discussion about adding a draft combine to franchise and what that will look like and how it will make franchise mode better. There’s no discussion about missing the ability to create custom managers or coaches or GM or why you can’t realign the league.
I don’t understand how aspects and features of road to the show or March to October cannot be included in franchise mode. If franchise mode as we know it today, does not allow significant changes then why are they not creating a new franchise mode from the ground up that includes features from franchise, March to October and road to the show?
If they have the time and resources and creativity to make changes to the game as seen in the previous feature premieres this season, then they have the ability to be transparent and communicate with the franchise community about any resemblance of a plan they have to improve the mode. I’m not just talking about tuning updates because that should be done on an annual basis as well as during the season. They choose not to communicate with the franchise community because they know that there are years of frustration and they don’t know how to address it or choose not to.
In the end, the only thing that matters is the DD fanboys, and their Thirst for 99 cards. The mode that is supposed to bring you the real version of major league baseball is the one that receives the smallest amount of attention and updates.
