I think they could improve franchise my making micro transactions for it. Make us use XP or buy CP so we could maybe increase our budget, or give our GM a higher negotiation boost to attract free agents, even unlock the option to set ticket prices.

They do that in NBA2K, right?

Make franchise a money maker for SDS. That way it gets more attention.

No, they don’t do that in 2K. Their franchise mode is 100% completely microtransaction free

Yes, but everyone hates 2k for it haha. You can play and earn VC but many just pay for it. And they’ve made the amount you earn from playing less and less and less each year.

There is NO VC or microtransactions involved in NBA 2Ks franchise mode. Stop spreading misinformation

How on earth have they still not fixed bullpen AI? I'll never understand how the community here rates this as the best sports game every year. It's my most disappointing sports title for three years now, and I'm not being dramatic, either. I'm pretty numb to the game.

I barely played it last year. For me, I'll enjoy OOTP 25 and SMB4 more.

Honestly? The Show sucks, even when compared to trash like Madden. It is pathetic how little this game resembles real life.


Last good games of this franchise was during the PS3 era. With 2013 it's been downhill ever since.

I can’t think of a single way for them to make “extra” money off Franchise. But frankly, a standalone franchise-only version of this game is probably only worth 20-30 bucks to begin with. So in a sense we’re already paying a hefty $40-50 fee just to come along for the DD ride.

I think our main desires as a community are rooted in AI, atmosphere, presentation & customization. That’s just straight “core game” stuff. It’s not like they can sell us “better GM AI” or “ability to edit coaching staff” as dlc.

They had the option a few years ago where you could buy more budget. But they took it out. If I remember correctly, using it would really mess up you franchise’s balance. I may be misremembering though.

2K's franchise had VC components when they jumped to 8th Gen on 2K14. This was removed when they switched to MyLeague in 16. So he's not even wrong.

It's like people don't realize they pretty much get told what they have time to do, and if it's a good decision to implement something or not. Devs don't have the absolute 100% saying of what happens and doesn't happen.

It's like yelling at construction workers when the city decided to order a big repair on a bridge everyone uses to commute. They're just workers assigned to see the job through.

It's the lowest and lamest critique I see thrown around here tbh. And it's always made by someone that seems to think these games are supposed to appeal to them in every way, which is a great way to set yourself up for unneeded anger and disappointment. Lots of these guys could benefit from going outside and taking a walk.

Lazy is the totally wrong description. They just have different priorities from you about what it takes to put out a viable product. To use the description lazy, you would have to be in their studio observing them doing things like screwing around playing Fortnite or sleeping under their desk or hanging around the watercooler talking about Taylor Swift all day when they could be improving bullpen a.i. or making editable coaches. Have you been inside San Diego Studio lately? Or ever?

If something is broken: fine, blame the devs.
If something is missing, not included, blame management - the devs just do what they are told.
But in either case, no one is “lazy”.
