Game entry conditions is really, really interesting

A more expanded critical situations really.

I always play full games. So I've never used the feature. I do quick manage any game I don't play (I play 1 game a series) and maybe I'd use this to jump into close games.

Decoupling RTTS and DD is a good change. I totally fell off RTTS when they merged and introduced all that card equipping garbage.

I only wish they would bring back the manual stat distribution in some way so I can make a Switch Hitter with big righty/lefty differentials.

Definitely, I also never really played the critical situations but this might give me some guidance to those moments I might want to!

So in summary:

A feature to play the game less

They updated amateur draft logic

You can see player awards on a player card (Finally)

You can start a franchise with injuries (which is already a thing if you just manually injure players)


Honestly would say I’m underwhelmed but I figured this was coming since Franchise had hardly any marketing. Another bummer of a year for franchise IMO.

Well im not really seeing all that much for franchise geez. and appears no logic changing for bullpens, or something done with the injury system..still see a beard on the yankees basecoach so im assuming the managers coaches system is still the same. oh well

Not a lot of time spent on franchise in this stream. I was excited once they started but it just went so fast.

New scorebug looks good. Presentation wipes and such look nice.

More quality of life stuff. Nothing substantial.

Last year was the least amount of franchise mode I have ever played in my time with the Show. I'm really struggling to find a reason to buy it for the first time in 15 years.

Player card awards and Prospect Promotion Incentive may seem small, but I was hoping PPI would be added when introduced and I’ve been waiting for player card awards tracking.

So those are good along with the improvements to draft logic.

However there’s a lot of additional things I was hoping for (editable coaches/managers, expanded rosters, and expanded ST rosters) that again are at the very least a year away.

Presentation looks impressive so waiting to hear more on it and watch gameplay but man I’m not all in on starting over again as I was hoping to be after franchise news.

So the big new feature for franchise is another way to play the mode less and simulate through it faster. Unbelievable.
