Re: MLB The Show 24's Bright White Menus Causing Some Discomfort
The gameplay is better and I love the new few options they gave us in Franchise, BUT I literally had to stop playing after one game due to eye strain. I have an eye condition and staring at a bright screen too long actually causes significant eye strain to the point of pain. It's a lot of fun, but I had to put it down because my eye started hurting too much after just an hour and a half. A white screen with grey lettering and neon font wasn't the greatest I'll say lolLast edited by RaysTheCups; 03-15-2024, 06:05 PM.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 24's Bright White Menus Causing Some Discomfort
I can live with the Miami Vice menus but for sure the white backgrounds, specially at night on low lighting is not comfortable.
But the worst for me is years after years, we’ve been told how to graphic team was working hard to replicate a real broadcast look. And they were delivering.
Then suddenly this year, it’s like they hired Versace to design their UI. The choice of fonts and color contrast is just terrible. And never never never, even a small regional broadcaster would put online such a terrible look.
Don’t know what happened….but it’s not too late to recover. They made a wrong call, up to them to rectify it.Comment

All I'll say on this topic is that I'm using sRGB mode on my 27-inch monitor like I always do, and I don't feel that the white is overly bright. Maybe a little jarring on some screen wipes, but that's all.
Not gonna break my heart if they end up changing it though, especially if so many people are struggling with it. I can obviously tell it's a big point of contention right now.
Edit: should add that I haven't seen a poor-contrasted graphic like the one in the screenshot above yet - that seems more like a bug.Last edited by bcruise; 03-15-2024, 06:37 PM.Comment

Yeah the show theme in 24 would have been a great 3rd one. But not replacing the 23 Show theme.Follow me on Twitch

No in all seriousness I like the fact they finally went for something lighter menu wise, maybe they could bring it back a few clicks. I only think the wild font choice together with the white coloring is a bad decision because at some places you just can’t read it.Last edited by LastActionHero; 03-16-2024, 03:08 AM."When it's all set and done, reality is the best innovation."Comment

Re: MLB The Show 24's Bright White Menus Causing Some Discomfort
Does everyone sit at computer desks to play or like less than 2 feet from their tv?
I guess I never noticed any issue but I sit across the room on my couch when I play, so I’m like 12-14 feet from the television. And I have crappy eyes too, just wondering if people sit much closer and that’s why eyes are so susceptible to the lighting
