At this point I just think the colour code here and there is just wrong. Should be an easy fix…hopefully.

So am I correct that because the UI is hardcoded into the game it's impossible to fix this year in a patch? As in it's not possible to create a dark mode in a patch.Comment

Unfortunately, I believe it's not something you can fix because I believe UI is hardcoded and can't just be a patch fix.Comment

I can handle the color scheme....I don't like it, but that's not the big issue for me....
the over-used slanted font is god-awful (like the one showing player progression) - it's borderline unreadable. I understand "style", but style-decisions should not impact the communication of information to the user.Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

I honestly kinda like the design. But I’ve never been a big dark mode fan.
Now, I agree, the font they used for “24” I could do without. It looks cool, just hard to read at times.

Re: MLB The Show 24's Bright White Menus Causing Some Discomfort
Thanks to gamepass I decided to try this game out for the first time in a few years.
The menu in the single worst design in video game history. I don't say that to be hyperbolic. I mean that literally and without exception. Because it isn't just a bad color scheme (which I believe The Show has had before), or a laggy menu like Madden. It's everything.
The color scheme is bad.
The font design for some items are also bad bad.
Thin black font over a white background, with some text also being layered on top of other colors/designs. Nothing about that is functional.
The animation when switching menus...it's slow and unnecessary.
Letting the name of the menu disappear after just second....wth? (I realize that the name is shown above, but why is it necessary? Wouldn't it be nice if the the name of the menus were visible so you knew where to scroll to? You know, rather than an abbreviation for each mode, that with half of the abbreviation cut off)
"hidden menus" - They are not actually hidden, but why is there why do you need to scroll up/down in order to see the option for things like exhibition, online co-op? I would extend this point to also talk about the "main" modes of RTTS, DD, MTD, franchise, etc since the storylines is all that shows up by default, but at least you can see at the bottom of the screen that there appears to be other things to select if you scroll down. That is much less apparent with these other modes as the only indicator that there may be additional things to scroll to is a relatively small legend to the right.Last edited by KSUowls; 03-19-2024, 01:44 PM.Comment

played conquest this AM and the flash after you take a hex is jarring and horrible. The eye strain from the flash actually hurt my eyes. Can't imagine people that have other issues dealing with this. The flash is not needed at all and unnecessary.Comment

Is it my imagination or did they soften this around the edges?T-BONE.
