Is the check swing glitch still in this game? Almost a deal breaker when playing 162 and if you slightly tap the swing you get a strike called every time...

I didn't have that issue last year...

Which isn't to say you are not having it, but I don't think that's an "everyone" problem.

you cant change cameras in manager mode! Cameras work in every other mode. U r stuck watching behind the catcher. Dealbreaker if this is not a glitch. I cant even play it! I will immediately go back to the old game if this is new norm. Anyone know whats going on? I am in the super small minority that plays like Stratomatic. This is so bad and dissapointing

For the first time I skipped the game this year. I play manage mode exclusively. In the past the camera was during a game in manage mode press options button.

I use manager mode batting view press box
Manager mode fielding view high.

You need to start the game to access this. That's prior to mlbts24. If they have messed up it wouldn't surprise me and with such little attention given to this mode getting it fixed is iffy.

Just wish they would have added back a much larger number of the deleted last name voice files. They did a good job with MLB 23 but have added back only a very small number this year. My last name, Boudreau, which was in the game for years has still not been added back.

Might be a dumb question here. So when i do franchise mode i usually do to a player lock and also have the sim on so i can see what plays are happening. This year everytime i do it i get one at bat and then it just skips to the end of the game, anyone have any idea what i am doing wrong or ami just missing some stupid setting?

You need to go to settings/gameplay/misc/player lock game flow

thankfully allows you to watch the game from the 1st inning! Which was fixed in 23.

I submitted a bug report yesterday.

I really hope they fix it. MLB 18 and 19 were useless to me because the in game injuries were not working. Bug reports were submitted but nothing was done. It didn't get fixed till MLB 20.

I am going to do this, I felt it probably needed its own article so it's on the to-do list.

Thank you, Chase. Really appreciate your hard work. I think the more that point out how the mode has been left behind the better. I still plan on writing my blog entry (not that it will be seen by SSDS but it makes me feel better to vent.

can we please now stop calling 4 year old hardware "next gen"? this is not next gen, this current gen and its likely that we already reached halftime of this consoles lifetime cycle, so we are closer to it being called "old gen" then to the point it was released.

I can only speak on 23 and I know they did not change hitting on 24 per the Dev team.

It is much much better from the dread known as MLB 21 and MLB 22.

They absolutely did some balancing since the change they made eliminating the discipline rating as a RNG factor on 21 and beyond (horrible design decision to this day caving to Online whiners).

So yeah...it's absolutely improved. And I am a 162 game every pitch every inning player. And yes I had to get a little better with my twitch skill on the swing button.....is what it is. They made it a stick/button skill vs ratings based.
