RTTS - is mlb 24 worth it?
I mainly play Rtts with a bit of franchise mode. Have they done anything with Rtts except the scouting combine? The questions , answers previous years were awful and stale? We don’t even have a trophy room or anything to spend your career earnings on. Hoping for a bit more from Sony Sam Diego with rttsTags: None -

I’m only a month or so into my rtts, but once you actually get into the season things are pretty much the same(from what I’ve seen). I will say the game play is much improved (to me). They new quick time things on diving/difficult plays is cool and challenging. I have 4 errors so far on the season. And the logic seems much improved. Last year I saw the cpu bunting all the time for no apparent reason. It made the mode unplayable to me. So far I’ve only seen two bunts both of which I could conceivably rationalize. So I’d say if you’re looking for a big jump not worth it. If you’re happy with some incremental improvements and better overall “feel” go for it! -

I have the PS5 version, and if you duck back to the clubhouse after every game--which doesn't take nearly as long as it did when they introduced "Next Game" a while back--the small vignettes do a much better job of setting the stage, building the world, and giving you an emotional "in" with your character.
Seeing my character on a road series, alone in a hotel room, with no sound save a window air conditioner, does make me feel that isolation, the anticipation, the "what next" of it all. There are a few different loops in each location, too. It's a small, but effective, touch.
The not so good part: in-game replays seem to always use female pronouns, even for male characters. My guy (First name, Christopher, audio first name, Choo Choo) has been rmisgendered half a dozen times at LEAST in replays. Not that I personally care about that sort of thing, mind you, it's just an amusing case of "how thoroughly did they really think this whole thing through?"
It looks nice, plays well, and aside from the noted PxP howlers, sounds good enough. Haven't gotten far with it, but it's satisfactory so far.Comment
