I will say all of them to a degree, which is what makes this game so fun for me. My squeaky voice screeching, "WHAT!?" after a terrible ball/strike call is classic, just as if I were in the dugout.

As I have argued in IRL, I have screeched even more ever since the strike zone became a permanent fixture on our tv screens. Now we have proof of wrong calls as to what we thought were bad calls.

I get so frustrated with the calls in The Show, that I have turned the strike zone off so I can just think I'm seeing a bad call, just like sitting in the dugout.

For me, it's gotta be Gary Simmons. He's the old white guy with the mustache. He NEVER gives me calls while I'm pitching and always seems to give the other team calls while I'm batting. Drives me crazy! [emoji1787]

That seems to be the case for all of them if you ask me. Seems like a call that is right on the edge never goes my way, but the same pitch always gets called for the CPU pitcher.

Just for clarification I'm just joking and sharing my dislike for umpires in general. I get plenty of questionable calls going my way.

When they fully move away from supporting last-gen consoles, they should

1) increase the amount of umps to 60 MLB umps, and at the very least 20 MiLB umps.

and 2) let us set the tendency of umps strike zone.

And bring back arguments/elections with a meter/team boost like MVP or better yet a dialog choice when "discussing things "with the umpire....

I'm not sure if that was the game I was trying to reference but I saw one on YouTube recently, it was maybe a PC game? But you could choose from responses to say to the umpire, including beeped out cursing lol.

Which begs the question, who is the best ump, almost always gets it right, fair and consistent. Probably Larry Bullard or Ed Drummond.

Well Larry is "Ole Reliable", right? He's the one that goes out and orders a steak. Nothing fancy. Lol. Or is that another ump I'm thinking of?

All of them this year. There seems to be a considerable amount of more missed strike calls this year than in previous years. And I’m not talking borderline strikes. Balls that aren’t even debatable strikes seem to be called balls at a higher clip this year than I can ever recall.

I’ve always enjoyed the variable strike zone, but it’s a been a little ridiculous this year. For the CPU and myself.

Anyone playing with umpire balls set to ''perfect'', do you still find yourself disagreeing with borderline calls? I feel like sometimes even with perfect on, there are still questionable calls that I benefit from half the time and go against me half the time.

Larry Bullard is also terrible. He'd probably be alright if the strikezone was in Braille.
If you left the plunger in the toilet, you could really mess him up.

I just played a game where he consistently gave the CPU strikes on pitches 100% out of the zone both inside and outside, and its far from the first time. I struck out looking many times.
