    Is pitching easier?

Ever since the update I’m lucky if the CPU scores more than 1 run. HOF Classic pitching. Before was a nice variety of good and bad but idk maybe I’ve adjusted and need to up the difficulty. Just wondering if anyone is seeing anything different.

I’m up to LEGEND (completely new to me) with CPU contact/power up one click. I feel your pain.

Been the same for me. A good balance of good, bad and ugly

        No it hasn't changed.

I played as my Braves versus the lowly Rockies at Coors and Strider walked 2, struck out 9 and gave up 2 runs in 7.2 innings and Minter came in and quickly gave up 4 runs late so I'd say no.

Of course II scored 11 with 3 HRs (went back to back with a 3-run bomb and a solo shot in the 4th) so it was all good. LOL.

I feel like it's easier. In my RTTS I'm already at Legend+ for my dynamic difficulty (never been to this difficulty level). I had a sub 2 ERA in AA before I was promoted to AAA. Even when it sounds like the CPU gets perfect timing the ball stays in the park. I haven't given up a HR thru about 50 innings. My WHIP is below 1.00. The only thing I'm having difficulty with is striking guys out. Otherwise, it's very easy to pitch all for a guy rated in the 60s.

I do think for RTTS in particular people just want to get to the majors. Most players don't want to grind in the minor leagues for 4 or 5 years. It seems way too easy to progress thru the game. And now even the actual game is super easy.

I just pitched for both teams in a game. Ohtani pitching vs Dbacks.

Dodgers scored 9 runs on 14 hits with 3 homeruns so that was not easier.

              Then flip side with Ohtani I had a no hitter through 7ip. Finished 7.2ip 1h 0er 3bb 15k.

They fixed the problems I had last year with cpu swing and missing a ton and it feels pretty balanced this year. This was HOF with default cpu hitting, except foul frequencyat 3. And user pitching consistency dropped down to 2.

Thank you guys for your input. I’ve just adjusted to HOF pitching I guess. I upped it legend and haven’t given up less than 5 runs in the first 3 games on classic pitching.

The only thing difficulty does is increase their PCI, which is invisible using classic pitching. I always argue that sometimes HOF, and especially legend can cause the cpu to be worse on offense. Larger PCI means more likely to make weak contact rather than just foul it or swing and miss entirely.

Sounds backwards, but you may want to try Allstar with cpu contact at 7 and drop your pitcher consistency. You may be surprised.
