    Home Run Cam

I get there are people that really like the no doubt home run cam that we have in the game currently, but I really wish we'd be able to get more of this type of TV presentation style on no doubt home runs.

This is from MLB 14, I'd really like to see it return.

Here's a better example of it for a ball down the line. This is from MLB 16. 28 second mark is what I'm talking about.

I completely agree. Years ago (I think either MLB the Show 18, or 19 was the last) we had the option to turn off the "no doubt" HR camera. IDK why SCEA removed that option.

As a guy who plays my franchise strictly with broadcast cams for everything, I would love it if they would allow us to turn off the HR cam, and show it in a broadcast style.

They have this when your opponent hits a no doubter on broadcast cam. Gave up a few in DD and offline and it defaulted to nearly this exact view.

I also play everything from the broadcast view and wish they would bring back the option to turn off the no doubt hr cam...i play strictly offline/franchise against the cpu...i'm the reds below and this is from last year's game...i have this years as well but had this video saved...the outcome/atmosphere/view was perfect imho, not a no doubter but you get the picture how the no doubt camera kind of ruins the excitement for me at least when it engages (i think this happened to be dynamic cam view):

          <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/e5a5L-3-Gz0" title="Walk off HR Celebration w/Feeling" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Edit: Found these saved videos from MLB 21...I've always liked playing with dynamic cam view for offense back when the No Doubt HR camera wouldn't trigger all the time even with the option to turn it off gone...the delay that allowed the specific batter HR animation to play out was glorius in my opinion. I'm the reds again in the videos below:

Yup, though even in this case sadly they haven't changed their algorithm for this camera since introducing it in MLB 10: The Show. Yes, it's been that long since they've had it and it has not been touched. Basically, the camera only lifts to the landing spot, so you're hoping it is going to land on something high up. Any farther (such as your LF home run video going onto Waveland Ave.) and it's panning at ground level.

I love this broadcast no-doubter HR cam so much more than the dreaded HR cam as a whole (and I wish this was a playable camera angle, which make no mistake it is not), but they still have a ways to go to make it as desirable as can be, especially when playing HR Derby.

              Re: Home Run Cam

I personally love the no doubt home run cam. I think the no doubt animations are what separates the players and gives them some individual personality. However, I see no problem with giving people the option to turn it off. SDS for whatever reason does not want to go that route.

Played the HR Derby for kicks and giggles and just realized the option to turn off the HR Celebration Cam is there....man, wish they could just port that back over to the other modes

Yes, yes it is. I think even one year I could turn things off from there and it applied to the main game.

I think at this point though, everything in HRD is just legacy code. Nothing really crosses over into it at all, and they just have it there to have it there (which I still play).

No announcing, can't use Retro cam, I don't even know if changing settings matters at all (aiming down vs. up, contact vs. power swing, sliders, etc.), can't change pitcher handedness or switch up a switch-hitter's handedness; can't change weather, wind or time-of-day; no day-night progression at all for that matter, no manual replay option or instant replays of note, I don't think they've done trophies for it in a half-dozen years, no kid shaggers in the outfielder (SlugFest had this haha)... the list goes on.

                      Re: Home Run Cam

My biggest hope is they adjust the height and positioning of the no-doubt camera (also trigger more often, only wall-scrappers should be full sprints, most MLB players know when they get one and finish their swing to pimp it)

I want to see the ball land every time, no matter the camera settings. Watching the Green Monster or RF wall in San Francisco take away from the realism. There needs to be a wall to follow the ball into the stands no matter how high it is.

ALSO, can we please fix the infielders determining where the ball lands.
If they don't move an inch, it's definitely a home run. If they start running, it's likely a fly-out, if they go into double cut-ff it's a ball in the gap
Only time this isn't the case is when a home run is robbed

I have been trained to not even look at the ball off the bat but instead look at the infielders to determine how excited I get on a deep fly ball

I don't hate the home run cam, but I just wish they did it more realistically. It looks really arcadey, especially when the shot suddenly switches to down at the batters' feet and you can't even see the ball.

My preference would be to use the RttS HR cam if I can't turn it off

The camera view is already in the game so let us use it

I think you can use it in the HR Derby and I think it's the 3rd person camera

                            Re: Home Run Cam

My number 1 issue with the HR Cam is that too many times I lose track of the ball.

I would either like the option to turn it off like we used to be able to.

Or remove all the current HR Cams in the game and redo them all to always show where the freaking ball is!!! lol

I mean really San Diego Studio????????

Or even better just bring back the TV presentation style HR Cams that used to be in the game like in the videos posted in this thread.

I would love if this issue is finally fixed in 25!!!
