RTTS: How in the heck do you get a good jump when stealing?

Disclaimer: Just got my first PS5 less than a month ago and this is the first version of the Show I’ve played in quite some time. (Last time I played you used stubs to build up your attributes.)

I used to be able to hold R2 down halfway until it vibrated and then release it to steal. Could get great jumps like that all the time. However, in this version, as soon as I get that vibration I run. Is there something I’m missing? Is there a different strategy I could try?

Good question. Stealing is harder this year. And the controls do seem to work different.

I am on Xbox Series X and I agree.

On Series X if I don't time my jump right I get picked off.

It has to be a program issue.

Super hard to steal this year.
