Franchise - Hidden Gems/Players who play above overall (play/sim)
I have recently started a new A's franchise, I am doing a mix of playing and simming. Just wondering if anyone has any hidden gems in terms of players who play above or better than their actual overall rating in the game. Looking for any position/pitching.Tags: None -

Every year of this game for me, Anthony Santander plays amazing for other teams. I think it was in 22, he had a fairly low overall but still absolutely raked for the Red Sox. So far in my franchise this year, he's got an OPS over 1.000 for the O's.

I feel like I'm getting deja vu here because I saw a similar thread the other day on Reddit where someone mentioned JP Crawford.
I'm backing that person up. I've had JP Crawford on my Nashville Stars Franchise team and he has been nothing short of awesome. Great swing, hitting well above his average for me.Comment

Dominic Fletcher for the White Sox. He's been killing it for me, I'm in 2028 with my franchise and he's an A potential. Dude is super consistent hits right below .300 about 20 homers every year and won a gold glove mashes right-handed pitchingComment

I was thinking about this the other day about how this game just loves some guys even though their ratings aren't that great.
Baltimore Orioles - Ramon Urias
On MLB 22 & 23 this guy always is in the top of the league in Avg./Hits
JP Crawford of Seattle does seem to always kill it in my franchises...
The SIM engines absolutely HATE Bobby Witt of KC; His first two years they hated him and this year it's doing the same.Comment

For me, playing Franchise year 2024 on THE SHOW 23 with the REDS… Jonathan Villar, I picked him from waivers to fill a spot cause of an injury and he ended up being my everyday 2nd baseman.
Roenis Elias, I signed him in spring training and has become a beast in my bullpen, lefties have no chance against him.
Colton Welker, Rule 5 and has become a lefty killer off the bench, and can play decent defense at the corners.
Diego Castillo, I traded for him at the beginning of 2023 and this year became a dominant closer for me.
And lastly, Jake OdorizziComment

In years past, Lucas Sims was almost always a top end reliever year in and year out. Haven't played too much franchise this year, so it may not be the same (especially since his overall has gone down)Comment
