    Swinging too early

So every time I swing for a porch, it says I am swimming early. What can I do to get myself out that habit I can’t score and I’m losing all my games online 2-0 1-0

Something as small as a camera change can help. Other than the obvious of trying to stay back on pitches a tad longer

Know the pitchers pitches, be patient, read the pitch, quickly aim the pci to the ball(a big part of it), by now you should be ready to swing!

Practice in Home Run Derby with a few batters. This always helps me get out of that early swing funk. Also, start taking a few pitches. Don’t swing until you get two strikes.

You can increase the pitch speed slider. You can also increase user batter timing.

Your brain has to learn and coordinate seeing the ball on screen and you pressing a button. You need both positive and negative feedback for your brain to map this out.

So, go into practice mode and set it up to just throw fastballs into the middle square. Just keep trying to hit the ball. Practice seeing the ball immediately out of the pitchers hand and tracking it as it moves towards you. You have to eventually move away from this and see all pitches in and out of the zone, but start here.

            A few caveats:

You're never going to be perfect all the time, even when you know what pitch is coming. Late and early is part of it.

Remember, the game is trying to fool you and keep you off balance. That's baseball. Your perception of pitches can change based on what you're experiencing. So, adjusting is also part of the game.

It also sounds like your a little anxious. Practice relaxing too. You don't have to swing a real bat, so there's no need to muscle up. Get the tension out of your hand because what you will need to do is make the tiniest of adjustments with your thumb to time the pitch. It's a subconscious effort and not something you'll be thinking about, but you're muscles need to be relaxed.

Be patient, your brain will figure a lot of this out while you sleep. Keep giving it the feedback it needs and give it some time, you'll get it.

Grizz says he's playing online. I didn't think he could make those adjustments online?

I always feel like the window is *just before* you think it is.

I also feel like you have more time to assess than you think you do. Like you can generally find a nice & slow 3-count on most pitches, even at 100mph+ with pitch speed on 10, there’s a good long 3-count within which to time it up.

Also, as a passing thought: don’t forget to watch a decent amount of real baseball. Like don’t go two weeks without sitting down and enjoying a real game in real time (not highlights).

Sports video games are always best fresh off watching the real thing.
                Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.

I use the stick to swing, so if i'm early i'll move my thumb a little lower down on the stick to add a few ms to my swing timing, conversely with being late i'll move my thumb up a bit to quicken my swing
