It's been a while since I decided to take a team and play a season (as normally I just play Quick Play with different teams). Anyways I decided to attempt playing a reduced season with the Tampa Rays using their 2007 green uniforms. Have to be honest that I was disappointed not seeing an option to shorten the schedule (i.e. 40 or 81 games) and Franchise mode limits the uniforms to only two to my knowledge.
I recognize that I can shorten the schedule by simulating games I don't want to play, but am I missing something in terms season schedule reduction option and having access to the retro uniforms? No interest in creating the uniforms.
My overall takeaway is that SDS needs to focus on the meat and potato features for The Show '25 like gameplay, graphics overhaul, complete ballpark immersion (i.e. updated stadium and city skylines scans with every ballpark having scans outside of the ballpark), revamped presentation including sideline reporter, highlights from around the MLB during games, and multiple announcing crews, and last enhanced Franchise mode modeled off many of the features found in NBA 2K.
EA's College Football 25 is getting serious buzz mostly because of the attention to detail EA has taken with the authenticity to the gameday experience both as an in-game spectator and viewer at home. It shouldn't be that complicated, but when you focus on a retired Yankee taking the subway back in the day instead of more critical areas needing attention, it disengages most of your audience.
