I had forgotten that I play with DH OFF. With it ON you don’t see the pitcher in the substitution screen. With DH OFF you pinch hit then when the screen goes to the bullpen you just back out and the pinch hitter will be on the mound.

My ‘solution’ to a rage quit applies to any sports game. I’ll replay the game and if it looks like I’m going to win l’ll restart the second game. After that I play a rubber match and accept the results either way.

If I lose the second game that’s fine too…

I've done this before as well. I would quit one I was losing, play another one and if I was winning, restart again. Some how it made it feel like it would even things out.

That's cheating. I never do it. I also have strict self imposed trade restrictions in my franchise.

Feeling like it's cheating is why I'm considering restarting.

Its funny you brought this up. I gut it out to the end and take my lumps. Just yesterday though in my Rays season, here I was getting beat by the Angels 5-2. Not terrible, but recall me thinking I have not had a comeback in quite sometime, and not yet in this season. I'm in the bottom of the eighth and with 2 out and 2 on up comes Taylor Walls, only playing to spot Paredes some rest. Batting all of .151 no HR and 1 rbi. And BOOM, drops a bomb dead center at the Trop to tie it. Nobody scores in the ninth, and I walk it off on a 2 out single to right to win it. Reminds me of my crappy golf game , just when your ready to give up , you nail that drive right down the middle, and it sucks you right back in

This is also one of my arguments for not restarting. I don't know for sure I would have lost that game, so really I don't know what would have happened. I could have came back and won. Also the Rays and Orioles who I am fighting with in the division both lost their games on the one I turned off. When I replayed it they both won. So I didn't gain or lose anything unfairly as far as the division race goes. I think I'd regret restarting my whole franchise and should probably just chalk it up to a mistake and go on with it.

I’m not proud of restarting and rarely do it but sometimes that restart button is just too tempting. It’s a good thing I can’t do that IRL or I’d probably still be nine years old.

I'm not sure. I don't remember it. But nearly all racing games have that. You can rewind for 3 or 4 seconds. I guess that's the beauty of video games. They aren't real life.

Madden 09, 10,11 or somewhere around there I think had a rewind feature. The only time I used it was when I would hit the wrong button to pass to a receiver.

It is cheating. Like spying on catcher signals and banging on a trash can to signal the pitch to your batter.

I'm in CoMO - familiar with that refrain and it isn't a lie. I would assert Kansas had the same formula for success.

Actually, The Show is the only game that gets me to quit from time to time like last night. Up 6:1 with MIN against DET and in the 7th they hit one ball after the other to the right, exactly in the gap and scored 8 runs. Didn't matter who pitched, which pitches I threw or where I located them, simply no chance to do anything. I rather quit and sim the game until I lost it. If stuff feels too random, I'm not up for it.
